I purchased my CRV after I had my first child. I have owned several Hondas before, and knew I wanted a mid-size SUV. I loved the look, the size, and the price point of the CRV. It is roomy enough to accommodate a small family but wasn't as large and as pricey as a mini-van. I love the look, the space, and the gas mileage my CRV gets while driving on the interstate as well as in the city. I love the convenience of the LATCH system for car seats and the extra room I can obtain by lowering the lower seats.
Story
I had a tire blow out in Knoxville, TN during holiday traffic. I have never had such an incident before. I noticed a tire warning on dashboard moments before the tire blew. I was terrified and am a self confessed nervous driver, but I was so impressed with how the CRV handled in a really stressful, dangerous situation. I was thankful for whatever engineering allowed a potentially fatal sit... (more)
Pros
As a mom, my favorite features include the following: the ability to lock the back doors so my child cannot open them, as well as the ability to control whether or not the back doors can be opened or not by using my driver side controls. I also love the layout of the steering wheel - the ability to change channels, lower or raise the volume of the audio system is of great value.
Cons
I only have 2 cons on this car - one is the lack of really good shocks. I feel pot holes pretty firmly in the CRV - but I knew this about Hondas from my previous ownership of a Civic and Accord. The other is road noise - I wish the windows were more sound proof. I also dislike the fact that if 1 window is rolled down in the rear, I need to at least crack a window in the front to prevent a weird pressure/sound noise.

2010 Honda CR-V - I absolutely love my CR-V.

I absolutely love my CRV. It has stood up to two different accidents like a total pro. It is well-built, and meant to last. Even though it is already seven years old, it still feels like a new car. It has good features like a screen showing you MPG, oil life, and other stats so you can keep track of how your car is doing.
Story
I drove a bunch of friends to a hike one time in the car. We thought about taking two separate cars, but then realized two people could probably fit in the trunk. Surprisingly, it worked well.
Pros
I have so many favorite things about this vehicle. For one, it is large. Specifically, the trunk is large and the seats go down easily. I play cello, so being able to easily fit my cello in the trunk or across the back seat was a must. It also has a sunroof, which I love. It drives like a small car, specifically, because it is very easy to park. Even though its a spacious vehicle, since its a thinner car (compact size, if I believe), it doesn't drive like it's huge.
Cons
I have barely anything bad to say about this car. The only things I can think of are the V3 engine--I wish it had a V6, as I would love to have more power when I'm trying to drive. I also don't have leather seats, which is specific to my trim package. I wish I had leather seats because they stay clean easier. The gas mileage could definitely be better, it gets great highway mileage, but driving around town I often get under 20 MPG.

I picked Crest because they were closer to me than the other Honda dealers and I have used their service department and was pleased with it. I told the dealer what I wanted and they let me know when they had used ones in stock.

This dealership had a very straightforward pricing system. I was very busy when looking for a car, so I did not have time to haggle back and forth over prices. The entire purchase process from test drive to ownership took around 3 hours.
