The Infiniti QX56 is a confusingly good vehicle on many fronts. It's better than any past Infiniti ever was, and it's the superior of some of the big, pricey off-roaders that outsell it by a factor of thousands. Quandaries aside, the QX56 looks the part of an SUV--a slightly retro-tinged one, with a flavor of the Japanese SUVs of the 1980s. A lot of the bulk of the last, American-made QX56 is gone, but some of the awkwardness remains, most of it up front, at the tall forehead and the cheesy fender vents that seem desperately in need of a body-color paint job. Inside? It's a tasteful blend of metallic trim and burled wood, gracefully split up by leather and logically arranged controls and strong, masculine lines.
Story
The QX's independent suspension does a fine job of controlling its ride quality, even up to the 22-inch wheels that are available on the most expensive versions. There’s an automatic leveling setup on the rear end for towing duty (the QX will drag 8,500 pounds behind it), as well as available Hydraulic Body Motion Control, which uses a closed air-pressure loop to damp out body lean in tight co... Pros
This full-size luxury SUV seats seven or eight passengers and came loaded with a wealth of standard features like 20-inch wheels, xenon headlights, tri-zone automatic climate control, a top-view camera system, a power-folding third-row bench seat and a 13-speaker Bose audio system. Optional highlights included an active suspension system, a twin-screen rear entertainment system, ventilated front seats, adaptive cruise control and a host of high-tech safety features designed to either prevent a crash or protect the occupants in the event of one.

2013 Infiniti QX56 - Smart purchase.

One of my best purchases. I love this car. It's so smooth and easy to drive. It's very spacious and comfy. It's a very fun SUV to drive. This SUV is actually great for towing. We finally used our jet skis this summer and had no problems hitching this to the back. The engine is very powerful and maintenance is inexpensive.
Story
This summer was great. We used this SUV for a family road trip to the coast. We brought our jet skis and hitched them to the back with no issues. I was a little concerned, but there was no issue. Plenty of cargo space for our things and plenty of room for the family. Great times.
Pros
The speaker system is amazing! One of my favorite features. The ventilated seats, the keyless entry and the push-button start make my drive feel very luxurious.
Cons
The actual look of it may be a con, as it looks very "soccer mom" and not as trendy. I personally wanted something unassuming and not as flashy. Also, the third row seats are a little cramped which is something I didn't realize upon purchase.
