The 2011 Kia Optima took a formerly lackluster and forgettable mid-sized family sedan and gave us a memorable, affordable car that leaves still leaves people asking, "what kind of car is that?" in the very best way. It looks great. It's roomy, in the front and back seats, and even on the original 2011 rollout year, it offered just enough included extras to be luxurious.
Story
When we first got the car, we told the salesman we would be driving it a lot so we needed a purchase deal. A month later, I had the car to him for service for the 10,000 mile service. He saw me there in the service line and was worried something was wrong with the car. "No" I said. "I'm just here for service." "Wow, you weren't kidding!" He laughed!
Pros
The fit and finish on this car are very refined, making it look much more expensive than it is. The backup camera screen which doubles as the touch screen for multiple other controls, is large and easy to see. The EX trim level (a base level) also has a comfort trim option that makes the car seem much more high-end. It includes heated front and rear seats cooled front seats power front seats, independent climate-controlled zones and a double moon roof. For a very minor upgrade, this package is highly recommended for drivers who spend more than a small amount of time in their cars.
Cons
The Bluetooth interaction in this model could be smoother. It is quite often that the phone that is in the car is not detected even after it has been paired. The system is just inconsistent. This particular model year has also been plagued with electrical issues such as issues with the keyless entry/starter. However, overall for a new model year, it has been a good car.

The car drives very well. It drives like a dream and looks great. It has so many features with it that came stock, and I love it!
Story
See cons.
Pros
The frame is sleek. It has high MPG. It has SiriusXM Satellite Radio. It is fast and accelerates well. It handles nicely. It is maneuverable. It is roomy. The air conditioning works like a dream. The speakers are very nice. The automatic windows are nice relative to my old 90's Honda. The exhaust is sexy as all hell. The grill is so sleek looking it is gorgeous! It is easy to maintain. The trunk is spacious. The engine runs clean. Has passed all inspections since I got it.
Cons
The frame is carbon fiber so it can be EXPENSIVE to repair. No, seriously I dinged it a little bit, just once when I overestimated its turning radius (it has an INSANE turn radius), and I hit a speed sign while making a U-turn. The repair for a golf ball sized dent in the front was 800 dollars. They couldn't buff it out because it was carbon fiber, they had to replace the whole thing.

I always hate the car buying experience, but Rally Kia made me feel comfortable every step of the way. The put my needs first rather than making a sale.
