My Lincoln Town Car is excellent. It is good looking, comfortable and the gas mileage is good for a car this large and comfortable.
The Lincoln Town Car has excellent styling that never goes out of style. The car is extremely comfortable to drive. The seats are roomy. My Lincoln Town has had only a very few mechanical problems. The trunk in my Lincoln is very large and great for shopping trips. The leather interior has held up very well. The outside paint has held up very well. I have had problems with the operation of the electric windows fairly often. I would not hesitate to buy another Lincoln Town Car. The air conditioning works great. The heat works great. My Lincoln Town is great for traveling long distances. One con is that since it is so large, it is sometimes difficult to park. I don't like the location of the cup holder in my 1996 Lincoln because it blocks easy access to some of the controls.

Durable
I like this vehicle as it has been the family car for 10 years coming up this fall. Having put hundreds of thousands of miles on the car, it can still be trusted for daily use as well as lengthy road trips. Despite some minor demands for upkeep, the car has done very well based on how much it has been used.

Smooth riding car with decent gas mileage.
I really enjoyed my 1997 Lincoln Town Car. It had the 4.6 liter modular Ford engine, which provided plenty of power but was efficient enough to give an average gas mileage of about 20 mpg. The suspension was very well engineered and provided a ride so smooth that it felt like you were driving a very comfortable Italian leather sofa. The interior was plush and had plenty of amenities and luxurious trim. This car was also an ideal ride for someone like myself who had a car audio hobby. I was able to fit monstrous sound systems in the spacious trunk, and the car was well insulated so the sound quality inside the cabin was great. The Town Car did have a few drawbacks though. One was that the plastic intake manifold was faulty and had to be recalled by the factory. The replacement part was much better and had aluminum ports instead of plastic, which was able to withstand the heat of the engine cooling system. Another common problem with the Town Car was the air ride suspension failing. Once I removed the rear airbags and replaced them with some nice progressive shocks, the car was more reliable and still provided a cushy driving experience.
