This car is a great car in many ways. The model and the year plus the price I paid for it, make it a good combination. First of all, when it was new, this car was a luxury car. After 15 years is still a good looking car that I am not ashamed to drive anywhere from church to a business meeting. The car is built with high quality materials, the iron, the leather the plastics are just great. After 15 years still looking good. It has plenty of features that makes the experience more pleasant: from cruise control to wheel commands and the rest of things. It is very spacious as well, you could easily take a nap on the back seat couch. It has also the 3rd place in front between the driver and the passenger.
Story
Happened a few days ago. I was in an intersection and I thought I could turn left when a SUV cut me off. Because I was already with half of the car in the road and because other cars were approaching, I backed up. I didn't realize that a car was behind me and I hit it. To my surprise my car has not suffered any -not even a small scratch. It was funny and a relief. :)
Pros
1. Big car 2. Engine is very quiet 3. Quality built 4. Runs at least 500k miles if well maintained (mine has 222k) 5. Good mileage/gallon - I usually get 24 mpg hwy and 18 city 6. Interior spacious including trunk 7. Very drivable
Cons
1. I don't know if it has a ESP, I think not 2. The braking system it's not brilliant 3. At some things is hard to work on the engine 4. Some electrical problems have occurred to me 5. You can't sell it quick because the market looks for something else not big old cars

I think Ford makes some of the best American cars on the market. I inherited this car from my father and in 14 years it has had only minimal repairs besides routine maintenance including replacing the water pump, alternator, battery and starter. The style and look of the vehicle is pure class and as a large car it can accommodate a larger driver very comfortably, including several passengers without a feeling of overcrowding. The large V8 engine provides amazing pickup and acceleration and a very smooth ride. The airbag suspension technology also contributes to an incredibly comfortable and luxurious drive. The cons associated with this make and model, however, are directly linked to it's size. As a large vehicle it can sometimes be hard to park and feels less agile than a smaller car ... (more)
Story
The best memories of this vehicle include taking it on a north to south road trip with my father from Indianapolis, Indiana to New Orleans, Louisiana..over 1,600 miles! We stopped along the way in many southern towns and rest stops I had never visited, enjoying icecream from the vending machines and admiring the views of a part of the country we were unfamiliar with. Those memories I will neve... (more)
Pros
The top positive things about this vehicle are as follows: The car is very reliable, stylish and well-built. The engine has great pickup and the overall ride is smooth and effortless.
Cons
The greatest cons of this car are that it's large size makes it feel, conversely, sometimes awkward to drive and contributes to poor fuel economy.
