I bought my Mazda 6 because I had a used vehicle that I could not mechanically depend on. I have had my Mazda for almost five years and have not had to have it serviced, other than your typical maintenance. Even though I have three kids, the interior of my Mazda is not at all worn in any way, shape or form. All the extras in my car, from the components under the dashboard, to the carpet are still new looking. Besides having enough room for a family of four; our Mazda is great on gas. We are an active family, and need to be at certain places at certain times. I am glad that I made the right decision when I bought the Mazda 6.
Story
I drove my children to my hometown while on vacation. We enjoyed it.
Pros
Good on gas. Roomy. Plenty of room in the trunk for the kid's sports equipment, or for toting groceries. The paint and interior can compare to a much newer car.
Cons
There was a safety recall for my model of Mazda. It had to do with the screws on the door coming loose. Even though I did not have this problem, I was able to take it in, free of charge, and have the screws replaced (as per Mazda's request).

After someone ran in to me in my last vehicle I had to find an affordable pre-owned option. After much shopping around and test driving I settled on my now current vehicle, a 2009 MAZDA 6. Having owned both an SUV and another 4 door car in the past I was drawn to its quick "get up and go" and it's sporty yet sophisticated look both inside and out. The seats are very comfortable and all controls for sound, lights, A/C and heat are very intuitive and well placed. There are virtually no blind spots and there is a built in sensor that alerts me to when there is a solid object potentially too close while in a hard to see spot while my turn signals are on so that I don't change lanes and hit anyone or anything. The gas mileage is fairly decent, though my perspective may be skewed having driv... (more)
Story
I named my Mazda 6 "Sophie" because it is the first vehicle I have owned that looks and feels sophisticated enough to make me feel that way!
Pros
Blind Spot Monitoring Sensor, decent gas mileage, easy and responsive handling, intuitive radio/sound system controls, driver and passenger individual A/C and Heat controls (A/C also gets VERY cold), specific thermostat temperature control, Bluetooth connect (great for streaming internet radio through my phone and hands-free conversation/voice mail), XM satellite capable, roomy trunk, automatic lights, dual airbags, retractable sunroof, and cruise control
Cons
No backseat cup holders, not a lot of foot room in the backseat, aftermarket tail/head lights could potentially melt the light casing as it did mine at one point, hubcaps require proprietary "key" to remove (should be included with vehicle)

I really enjoyed the experience. The sales representative was very helpful and nice. I found the car online and so it was a very easy experience. It was also nice that they were having an event the day I was there with hamburgers, breakfast tacos, and a puppy and kitten adoption!

He was very flexible about my needs, not pushy. Had a great selection of used cars that weren't as overpriced like other places. towed the car when something happened to it. very friendly, offered car and life advice, was very friendly to my kids when he met them. located in a place that was easy to get to.
