I love how my car handles. It's very easy to drive. The car drives very responsively. In my old car everything felt very heavy and stiff, but with this car, it's very easy without feeling like I'm driving a toy. The interior is so nice with leatherette seats with red trim, and it has a infotainment screen, which is new for me. I like being able to connect my iPod and phone to my car easier. I really like having the hatchback version of my car because it feels roomier even if it seems really small outside. Everything feels very well made and thought-out. I also really enjoy my heated seats and heater because my old car didn't have one! This is also a small detail, but I like that my car is blue. I prefer them to have an actual color over being a neutral color. My sound system also comes... (more)
Story
My boyfriend was driving a very windy road by our house, and it was nice because he absolutely hated my old car but was having lots of fun with my car that day.
Pros
The way it handles, the quality of the interior, the infotainment system, the sound system, and the built-in navigation system.
Cons
Maybe it could be small for a tall man, the back-up camera isn't great quality/is kind of fuzzy,

I was scared to have to retire my Protege after 13+ years of solid service, but it was time, and I went to Mazda since it worked well for me previously. All of the new technology kind of threw me at first. I didn't think I'd like the backup camera, and now I don't know how I lived without it. Of all the safety features it has, this has to be in the top 5. It's quiet, and it corners well. I feel secure at all times, while still being excited to drive it. The interior is really sporty, too, and is great for long car trips.
Story
I haven't gotten to use it as much as I'd like to since it's only 3 months old, but it's a popular car and my color of blue is also very popular. It's embarrassing to admit, but I accidentally tried to get into another identical car in a parking lot recently that was parked nearby. So it's great to know that my keys won't unlock another exact model remotely. :)
Pros
Backup camera Comfortable steering wheel Power windows and locks Power trunk button on keys Spacious backseat Comfortable front and passenger seats
Cons
I don't really like the push-start ignition, but I will get used to it. It's just difficult to train yourself to take your keys with you for the first few weeks. I don't like where the volume control is for the radio and how the presets are buried in another menu. I miss my different preset buttons on my protege. There's plenty of trunk space, but it has a really shallow threshold to angle things in. I tried bringing a new printer home, and it wouldn't fit at all in the trunk or the backseat. I had to strip it out of its box and styrofoam in Staples' parking lot. My protege would have been... (more)

The first salesman was very up front and easy to talk to. He didn't talk down to me since I was a woman, and that can happen a lot when shopping for a car. And I had been working with other people at the dealership for a few months about the different specials and offers. They were so helpful with answering questions, especially odd ones like an out-of-state title issue with a trade-in. So I felt very comfortable going in and making the deal.

Roger Beasley Mazda is great because they made the buying process easy and worked with me on the installment plan. And whenever I take my care in for repair or maintenance they are always very responsive, not pushy, and honest. They're also very accommodating and will provide you a ride to and from work if you need to leave your car there.

Friendly salespersons answered all my questions. They have a popcorn machine inside as well as coffee and tea.
