The Nissan Versa is a great hatchback with lots of space, plenty of room for up to five passengers and trunk for luggage, a dog, or camping gear or even groceries for the family. The maintenance on a Nissan Versa Hatchback SL can be tricky though. The door handles will wear over time, there is lock tool in order to get to the battery and change it out which can be a pain, the A/C filter has a trick to it and there is a second small A/C filter by the passenger seat, changing a head light can have some tricky angles to maneuver. I bought this car used in 2011 from a man who had given it to his father so he could drive from Dallas to Austin to visit. It is a great car with fantastic mileage it is 2017 I commute to work and work two jobs and this car has never failed to get me from point A... (more)
Story
I road trip a lot with my car and its a hatchback it looks like a turtle. I call him the blue turtle and he and I like have too many memories out in the plain lands driving from one place to another. California, Arizona, Enchanted Rock, Big Bend, Louisiana, Colorado, Arkansas.
Pros
Gas mileage. Repairs are minor if consistent maintenance is performed. Roomy. Up to 5 people. Great for road tripping, camping, big families.
Cons
Tricky battery, A/C and Light maintenance. Lots of tight spots to lose things between seats, get jammed in brake stick.

My car is a black Nissan Versa, 2010. It was originally used, but did not have many miles on it. It was and still is in good condition. I like that there is a big trunk, and the kids have enough space in the back seat. I, also, like that it is small enough for me to park, reverse, and drive, considering I am not the best driver and do not like big cars or trucks.
Story
I had to go to the an office to drop off some paperwork, and I needed to park in the visitor's parking spaces. However, all were taken, except for one. The problem is that it was between a big Chevy truck and an SUV. There was not much room, but being that the car is small enough to fit into any space, I quickly swerved into the spot with any problems.
Pros
Size - small enough to drive, but big enough inside. Gas mileage - I don't spend a lot to fill it up.
Cons
No armrest between the driver and front passenger.
