2010 Nissan Altima - The car brought me so many good times and allowed me to explore Texas in a comfortable way.

I bought my 2010 Nissan Altima SE in 2012. It belonged to a family member who aided me in attaining my first vehicle on my own. I'm still in love with it even though I don't use it as much as I used to when I first got it. This car takes me down memory lane, putting in over 80k miles on it in four years. I took it on long drives from Houston to Austin during my school years, and it never gave me any issues on the road. The drives were smooth and very gas effective. The seats were so comfy that my body would feel like it was floating on a cloud. The acceleration was always great even though it was a four cyl. I took it often to the Greenbelt (a natural springs area), and it had no issue going through the terrain.
Story
During my college years, every other weekend we'd go to a hidden lake near Lake Travis. All of my friends and myself would ride around my car listening to music, windows down, comfy seat, on our way to a jolly time. Good memories.
Pros
The design and luxury of the car is definitely a plus. Besides comfortable seating, the tires were in superior condition and allowed me to enter rough terrain. Steering is smooth creating a sense of safety as well as providing a safe feeling. When gas prices went up, I did not spend as much as my friends did on their car.
Cons
I have two top negative things and the first one is the seating space in the back. I don't recommend this type of vehicle if you have a large family due to mild space. Don't get me wrong it is a bit spacious, but I'd think about it twice if you have or are planning on having a large family. The other is the trunk space also. It didn't help much when camping with a large group of people.

This is a great car. We bought it used with cash. it had a lot of miles when we bought it, and we have put a lot more on it. We have driven it across the country several times. I have even used it to be an Uber/Lyft driver. I have had a few maintenance issues and repairs, but overall the car has done amazing. These types of cars last a while. The trunk is very spacious, plenty of room for multiple large luggage pieces. The back seat is very spacious as well. It can fit three car seats. it has plenty of leg room for friends too. The CD player and radio worked well. The silver color is very desirable. Nissans in general are very dependable. The Altima is as well.
Story
We have driven it to Utah from Texas and had a great time going to some amazing national parks.
Pros
Dependable at high mileage. Must be sure to keep up with maintenance but over reliable.
Cons
Some of the interior trim is worn; however, that is expected because the car is older. The gas mileage could be better. I think I calculated that the gas mileage is close to 15-20 mpg. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, the one issue I have had with the car is the gas gauge. It stopped working and is no longer reliable on the low end. The car also only holds 20 gallons, so I guess that could be better.

I love this dealership because the sales staff work from bonuses instead of commissions, so there is a lot less pressure put on the customer to make a purchase or to get a more expensive vehicle. As a first time buyer I have been resisting purchasing from a dealership because everywhere I go they try to force me to get something above my price range. The staff at First Texas Honda worked with me to help me find a nice reliable car that met my transportation needs and fit nicely into my budget.

The dealership offers no haggling buying and since the sales staff works for volume instead of price commissions, they are very laid back and didn't put a lot of pressure on me to go for a more expensive car than I could afford. The staff was extremely friendly and walked me through the process as I was a first time buyer. There was a coffee bar with free drinks and baked goods for me to snack on while I was waiting for them to process my purchase in the accounting department.

We looked at many car dealerships and found the prices and customer service to be the best here. They worked with us on the notes we wanted to pay and what we wanted in our new car. The prices were great and the salesman went above and beyond to get us the best price available.

The vehicles are all in great condition, I received good rates on every car I bought. It's also a very popular dealership in town, perhaps one of the best. Friendly service, and no tricks.
