The Hyundai Sonata is a great car, and while it's not a sports car by any means, it does offer more than meets the eye. It's comfortable and has a number of great features while also offering some benefits that one might not expect. With more power than its competitors, the car provides a great driving experience while also making the driver feel comfortable and in control. An all around great car, it also has the reliability of an Asian car that one would expect.
Story
I remember picking up my uncle from the airport, who owns a 6 series BMW, and him being blown away by how well the car drove and handled. It had been dark out, and he turned on his phone light to find a logo to realize that we were driving in a Hyundai Sonata. He laughed and joked that the car was great, and he would consider it himself.
Pros
The Hyundai Sonata is truly a great car for the money and offers a v6 engine in disguise as an economy car. It's fairly great on gas as well, and I think that is quite the selling point with the power that it provides in comparison to other cars in the price point. It makes it a lot easier to change lanes quickly or hop onto the high way in a rush. For those who like sedans, the Sonata is great in that it is also quite spacious in comparison to compact cars, and you can definitely feel it while you're sitting inside of it. I also find that the sound system sounds amazing in comparison to o... (more)
Cons
This might be up to personal preference, but I am not a huge fan of the way the car handles. It almost feels like driving a boat in the way it takes turns and bounces when on rougher roads, but overall, it's not enough to be a game-breaking feature. The steering could be described as very loose, and while it is like swimming, that doesn't appeal to me personally as I like a tighter control. Also, from an aesthetic perspective, I don't find the car to be very pleasing. It kind of looks like a pill box and doesn't really compare to other cars in its class as it does look old school.

I love this vehicle! It was affordable but seems more luxurious than your run of the mill car. The seats are comfortable and the styling looks great. In fact, I have occasionally thought a higher priced car was mine when I was in a crowded parking lot! It is that close to some of the pricier brands. The best part is that it is completely reliable. All we have had to do is routine maintenance like oil changes and tires. There have been absolutely no mechanical issues with this car, and I really appreciate that reliability.
Story
I was very excited to choose a dark blue/purplish color when I bought this car and I though it was so unique! Now I see cars of the same color in every make and model. I guess it was the first year for this new hot color. Once I was in a parking lot and tried to get into a car of the same color, but it wasn't mine. It wasn't even a Hyundai Sonata! Be careful. This car looks like lots of ... (more)
Pros
You can't beat the reliability of this car. We have a 2008 Hyundai Sonata that we purchased used, and because we loved it so much we bought this one new. It hasn't disappointed us. Both cars just keep going! The 2008 has over 100,000 miles on it and this 2013 has almost 50,000 miles. We have had NO REPAIRS of any kind on either one, just regular maintenance. I would highly recommend the Hyundai Sonata.
Cons
I mostly drive this car around town, to and from work and the grocery store, but I have noticed that when we go on a highway trip there is more road noise. I just turn the radio up, but if you do a lot of highway driving, you might want to test drive it at higher speeds to be sure that it won't bother you. The steering isn't tight enough for my husband, but I don't notice it at all and I am the main driver of this vehicle. So, that hasn't been a big issue!

They were friendly and the whole process was pretty quick. I didn't feel like I was just 'a customer', I felt like I was talking with a friend and making a deal to buy a car. I didn't feel pressured into any specific car, my specific needs were addressed and listened too. Once the deal was completed, I felt good and not like I was forced into something that I wasn't going to be happy with.

What made this dealership so great was the negotiation process. We did not have a hassle with the salespeople, and we were able to get all of our questions answered and reach a compromise regarding the car's history and price. I was given a complementary test drive as well as a complementary tire rotation and oil change. The refinancing process was easy to go through, too.

They honored my price negotiations, gave me a free oil change and the saleswoman accepted my Facebook friend request.
