2010 Toyota Prius - Solid reliability and fuel economy
I am very happy with this car. It gets about 45 mpg combined and I haven't had problems apart from the visibility and the tires.
Story
I was able to fit three cats in the backseat for multiple 8+ hour road trips, with a big dog crate and a big carrier, and was able to safely buckle them all in.
Pros
The best features are fuel economy, comfort and reliability.
It gets 45 mph combined without me having to try, but I do spend a ton of time sitting in rush hour traffic, so that helps (fuel economy, not stress level!).
I like the color. It is a blue exterior and a light grey interior, which is very helpful in the Texas heat! Also, it is not leather seating, which is blistering in the summertime.
The cargo area is pretty big when you lay down the seats, and there's a roll-up cover that covers the cargo area when the seats are in their raised position. I have been able to move a dining r... (more)
Cons
It's a little noisy on the road and the visibility out the back is just awful.
I have blown tires about 5 times in 5 years, and in addition to having to repair/replace those, I have already had to replace another set of tires because they were worn.
The stupid bar across the back window really limits visibility and the side pillars block the view further, even when you turn your head over your shoulder to check your blind spot. I've had three small fender-benders and every last one involved the area over the side of the car near the right rear tire. Thankfully, nobody has been hurt, bu... (more)
2008 Toyota Prius - Best car ever
I love my Toyota Prius. The gas mileage that the car gets is fantastic. It seems to get a little worse every year, but in general, it is amazing and is currently around 44 miles per gallon. My car is grey, and the interior is not the best since it is fabric, but it is aesthetically pleasing. Some of the fixings in the car look a little cheap and plastic, but at the same time, they are very easy and inexpensive to repair.
Story
I have used the car to go camping, and you can leave the back of the car open and attach a camper thing which helps you get more air.
Pros
I love the gas mileage that this car gets. It gets around 44 miles per gallon which is amazing. The tank is fairly small, but I still only have to fill it up once or twice a month. There is so much space in the back of the car it is great. It is so easy to sleep in the car, and since there is so much room in the back, it is great to go camping in it.
Cons
The rear visibility is a little bit subpar, and it does require using your head to move around and make sure you can properly see things really well. The paint is chipping a little which isn't great, but it's still a really good color, and there's so much room in the car it is great.

Austin, TX Dealer Ratings & Reviews

2010 Toyota Prius - Terry Davison Auto Imports Austin
Making business with this dealership was great because it never felt like I was under any pressure to make a purchase. I asked a lot of questions and didn't feel the dealer was annoyed at any point. The price was quite fair and on top of that I felt comfortable with making the purchase because it was possible to contact the dealer at any post-purchase should any problems arise. Very trustworthy as well.
2010 Toyota Prius - Autonation Toyota South Austin
I was able to procure the price point I wanted. I had gotten an estimate for the car I wanted from a dealership in an adjoining city. They agreed to match the price. They few times I had issues with the car, the service department was extremely helpful. In particular I trusted the service department rep that I dealt with, and I always asked for him since my first experience dealing with him was positive.
2016 Toyota Prius - Autonation Toyota South Austin
They did give us a good deal on the car after a bit of negotiation.
