I like this car because I have had it for so long. It's been with me throughout the years and has never failed me. One time I got a flat tire and was left out on the freeway, and even then Mercedes Benz had a number I could call and they came to where I was and fixed my tire for free. This car used to perform better than it now does, though. It still runs great but when it goes over a certain speed the car rattles. The car could use an updated GPS since the one I have is old. I like the interior of the car - the beige leather feels and smells great. Also, the car has a wooden finish on the inside which looks great. Something I dislike is the color of the car. My dad picked bright red but he likes it so... I have had the car for years and have had very few problems with it. I like that ... (more)
Story
driving around with my friends or family and having the top down and sing with the radio blasting at the top of our lungs
Pros
I like that this car has a GPS system. I use it very much, although it does need to be updated since it is old and sometimes makes me go the wrong way or waste time on a longer route. I like that there is a built in telephone in it, since it makes it easy to call people while still driving without having to take my eyes off of the road. A great PRO is that this car is so comfortable for me to drive. I am petite and I feel very comparable in this car, and it also runs very smoothly which I love. The car rattles a bit when I go over a certain speed but that has happened with the years. Overa... (more)
Cons
I don't like that the car isn't too great on gas, but that is acceptable with a V8 motor. I also don't like that the car rattles when I go over a certain speed - I will have to take it to the Mercedes Benz dealership. But I also don't like that every time there is a problem with the car it has to go to the Mercedes Benz dealership because they are quite expensive. The GPS on the car is out of date and many times makes me take the long way when I am going to certain places, I also wish it could help me avoid traffic. another con is that the car does not have a camera built in for when I am ... I purchased this car used in 2014. I have owned this 2005 Mercedes CLK for about two years. The car had 50,000 miles when I purchased it. The purchase cost was about $18,000. Frankly, so many convertibles have shakes with the roof down, but this vehicle has no such shake and is likely due to the way Mercedes stabilizes it. It rides like a coup not like a convertible coup. Also, due to its age, it does not have modern audio electronics such as Bluetooth. Regardless, it is fun to drive, and because it is a 500 model, it has quite a lot of pick up and speed. The current Mercedes version looks similar to my model and few people realize the age of this vehicle, so it has held up quite well.
Story
The vehicle is most fun to take on drives to Lake George, which is near my home. Having a roof down gives a beautiful view of the sky that you cannot get even with a sunroof open.
Pros
This vehicle can sit four, so it is able to transport myself, my wife, and child, or two friends. This vehicle has no such shakes. When the roof is up, you cannot hear any wind. It is fun to drive, and because it is a 500 model, it has quite a lot of pick up and speed. The current Mercedes version looks similar to my model and few people realize the age of this vehicle, so it has held up quite well. The car holds the road very well for control purposes. Sight lines are good for a convertible. The rear window is not some cheap plastic but a substantial piece of glass. The roof retracts and ... (more)
Cons
The trunk space is quite small, however it is because the roof retracts into a trunk holder. Like all Mercedes any parts or repair are very expensive. Gas mileage is low. It takes generally a high octane which costs more than regular unleaded. It does not have modern audio like Bluetooth. It does not have any modern rear-view camera features. At the time the car was new, it had a phone. With cell phones that is no longer needed or supported, but it takes up center console space. Although a four-seater, the back seats are obviously small with limited space. The doors are quite heavy. Like a... (more)

My Mercedes is the best investment I have ever made. After 50,000 miles, the car has driven perfectly and I only had to change the brakes once. No matter what type of gas I fill my car with, it is able to hug curves phenomenally and I feel like I am in a spaceship when I drive on the highway. I have tested the car up to 100mph and I couldn't even feel my car rattling. While the car was zooming at 100mph, my soda did not even splash due to the smooth acceleration.
Story
My girlfriend and I had to escape from a few cars that seemed to be following us for no reason. They were driving chevy caprices and my mercedes easily outmaneuvered them.
Pros
The heated black leather seat are awesome. In the winter I freeze without the use of them and can warm my car up for a few minutes before I go in it. The security system is also superb and prevents others from stealing things from my car. When someone tried to break into my car, the alarm sounded and I was able to call the police to have the criminal arrested. I will see him in court in a few days. The windshield wipers are much better than on my previous 1997 Toyota 4Runner.
Cons
So low to the ground, I feel like I can get run over by any other car. The aerodynamics are so good that I sometimes do not realize I am speeding. Since the car is so well insulated, it is difficult to gauge how fast I am going.
