I bought my mini cooper used with 62k miles and I am very happy about the way it drives and the great service I get from the dealership. The only downside about owning my particular model is that there has been many recalls which have forced me to send in my car to the dealership countless times. This is very frustrating because it seems as if my car is always needing tune ups but I guess that is what comes with a vehicle. Overall, the driving mechanism is amazing as far as steering and power. Even though it is a two-door car, there is plenty of space for anyone of all sizes. The interior design of the mini is perfect. Its dashboard is unique with its large speedometer and led lights that enable you to change the color of your choice so that they reflect inside while it is dark. The co... (more)
Pros
The top positive thing about this model is its driving capabilities. The fact that this car can use both automatic and paddle drift is entirely unique. The sport function works like a charm every time. The system computer would also have to be my top feature because I really like to take care of my car so when any little light goes off, I am able to take care of the problem right away. Another favorite of mine are the leather seats that were included in my package. They are sporty and very comfortable. They also allow me to turn on heat warmers when it is winter and very cold. A simple fea... (more)
Cons
The negative things about this vehicle is the amount of ridiculous recalls it had. Brake fluid, Alternator, Spark Plugs, and so on. Though I had these already tuned up after I had bought the car, they soon later became a problem again. This would continue to happen more than once. The run flat tires are a huge negative because I have to buy specific tires just incase my car gets flat tires and because I do not have room to carry a spare I almost always have to get my car towed to the dealership to change my tires. Another negative is that my car leaks oil almost everyday which makes me hav... (more)

Many people think a Mini Cooper is just a tiny car, but it is really very spacious with a lot more cargo room than it appears to have. I have actually transported a regular sized electric clothes dryer in my Mini Cooper. While it does have several engine issues that seem to be the norm for Cooper owners, once these are appropriately addressed the car is a smooth running vehicle. It handles well, tight like a sports car and tackles urban terrain with ease. It is not a luxury car feel for the passenger but is a fun car to handle for the driver. While not a comfortable fit for someone nearing six feet in height, it is perfectly comfortable for a smaller person. The back seat is small but I have ridden in mine for extended periods without much discomfort. The back seats fold down, making i... (more)
Story
My favorite story is packing a standard sized electric clothes dryer in the back (yep, the hatch closed) and driving it 100 miles to my son's house. Everyone told me it couldn't be done, so once it was loaded I had a great time posting pics of me traveling down the road with that drying in the Cooper. I even went by my nail salon and blew the horn to show them it fit (they told me over and ove... (more)
Pros
How the car handles. Ability to haul lots of cargo.
Cons
Price of replacement parts. Chronic repairs.
