IÕve wanted a Solstice since I was little - itÕs a beautiful design with the added appeal of being a convertible. The greatest thing about it was that because it is sort of a ÒmockÓ sports car, I could actually afford it, so IÕve gotten to have the fun experience of what itÕs like to zip around in a fun, fast car that draws everyoneÕs eyes!
Story
My favorite thing is putting the top down and driving around with my favorite music playing- it puts me in the best mood!
Pros
I love the design and the size. The fact that its parts are made by GMC has kept repairs from being incredibly costly since Pontiac went out of business. The convertible top is manual, which I was told means it would be cheaper to repair if it ever malfunctioned, and I can put the top up or down by myself. I love that you can feel the drive and the speed without it being uncomfortable or inducing motion sickness. I appreciate that they offer the car as automatic, not just manual like other sports cars, because I donÕt know how to drive manual. The size of the car allows it to heat up or co... (more)
Cons
The lack of trunk space has definitely been a struggle at times - it has a large section of the trunk taken up by the body of the vehicle, so trunk space is limited to a smaller area bordering the trunk. The ride from the passenger seat isnÕt nearly as comfortable as for the driver. The convertible top has started exhibiting issues over time, making it harder to utilize. There have been two separate product recalls in the four years IÕve owned it. The materials used in the interior have aged pretty substantially over time. The seats are so low that it is sometimes difficult for older adult... (more)

I bought my Pontiac Solstice largely based on looks, I'll admit. It's a two-seater convertible, very sleek and curvy. Mine is black, and I've always liked that color vehicle. The interior is a little cramped, and there's not a lot of storage, but I've gotten used to the smaller space. The trunk is almost big enough for a full load of groceries is the top is up. It does have a pretty bad blind spot, but I've gotten used to that as well. It hasn't been in the shop at all. I have had to replace both the door handles, but my husband took care of that and I bought the replacements from eBay pretty cheaply. My husband has also replaced a belt and replaced two of tires, but they were only in mediocre shape when we got the car. The gas mileage is okay. I get about 25 mpg on the highway. Best o... (more)
Story
Every time I drive this car I create a new memory. I suppose my favorite thing is how, right after we got it, my husband and I would drive around town and down the country roads just to enjoy the car. We live in a small town, so we got a fair amount of attention.
Pros
The look of the car and the fact that it had very few miles on it when we bought it. I also enjoy how well it handles and the feel of the wide tires.
Cons
That blind spot can be pretty scary at first, and the lack of storage space is slightly inconvenient.
