I rather adore my Pontiac G6. It all started when I took driver's ed years ago and our instructional vehicle was a black 4 cylinder model. The throttle was responsive, the brakes were snappy but natural feeling, and the comfort was surprising. Not long thereafter, shopping for my first vehicle, I saw her on a used car lot in all her red, glorious beauty. The styling choices are subtle yet pleasing. With the alloy wheels and the small fin on the trunk, the whole flow with that bright red just brought a tear to my eye. The sedan is spacious; can easily fit 4 passengers with no loss of legroom in the front or back seats. While the seats are not the plushiest I have sat in, they are surprisingly comfortable for long car rides. And when you need supplies for those long car rides, you have a... (more)
Story
I was being rather unwise and going quite fast down some back-woods country roads. Little did I know, is that right on the other side of the curve I was about to go around was a stop sign for the crossing multilane highway. I rounded the corner and quickly realized the mistake I made by going too fast and had to slam on the brakes. The car understood the severity of the situation and came to a... (more)
Pros
-It came with a well balanced power-to-efficiency engine that is punchy, but decent on fuel on the highway. -The brakes are solid and reliable, even without ABS. -The car is easy to hop into, as there aren't a lot of complicated features. -Roomy interior.
Cons
-The low-end torque can sometimes spin the front tires. -The clear coat on the hood began to come off after ~7 years. -The tires are a little skinny, so it can slide on wet roads with cheap tires. -The base model didn't come with a lot of standard features.

The Pontiac G6 is a fantastic car for the commuter and person more concerned about reliability and functionality rather than an over the top car. It is a quiet running and surprisingly powerful car that accelerates quickly and is great for highway driving. There are many things to like about the car. A strong A/C and heating system keeps you comfortable in any weather, and large displays on the dashboard are easily seen to make sure there is no speeding or if there are any issues with the car. The car also has functions on the radio where you can check fuel efficiency, oil life, etc. The interior is very attractive with not too many functions and is very comfortable. The only things that are a bit of an issue with the car is that it needs a decent amount of work to keep in top shape. A... (more)
Story
When I drove home from school in about six inches of snow and it took me two hours, was very stressful.
Pros
1. The power of the engine. 2. The interior is very comfortable for a smaller car. 3. The car is quiet when driving. 4. You don't have to search for any hidden dials. 5. There is great A/C and heat. 6. You feel like you are driving a more expensive car. 7. I like the power of the radio as well.
Cons
1. There are issues with the trunk. 2. The trunk is small. 3. Some parts of the car break easily. 4. The tires are special order. 5. The underbody is susceptible to rust. 6. Doesn't handle the best in snow.

My main dislike of my 2006 Pontiac G6 is that I feel it doesn't drive well in the winter up here in northern Minnesota, especially compared to my previous car (2000 Buick LeSabre). I feel like I slide around a lot more and that scares me. Luckily, I'm a pretty decent driver so I haven't been in any severe accidents. Another complaint would be the loudness. It is loud inside the cab so you have to have the music turned up louder. Having to feel every single tiny bump that I drive over because of the low profile tires is disappointing. Other than these three things, I like this car. It is a fun car to drive! It whips around so easy. I haven't had any major mechanical issues either, just the usual wear and tear and maintenance. It is a decent enough size for myself and my 3-year-old son. ... (more)
Story
I slid in the ditch on the way to get my son and then got stuck there and this older guy and a younger guy came out to help me and the younger one kept hitting on me in the most disturbing ways. Memorable, not fun.
Pros
It's just fun to drive! You can whip around so easy in it. It is well built (no falling apart on me!). I like the brightness of the brights, the sunroof, the LATCH system in back for my son's carseat, and the power! =)
Cons
The loudness inside of the car, the traction control/winter driving, and the bumpiness of the ride.
