I have always been a fan of Toyota cars. I had two other Toyotas before I bought the Toyota Corolla I have today, and I have yet to experience any disappointment with the brand. My Corolla is extremely reliable, which is important to me as I have to make a 720-mile trip multiple times a year to visit family and friends in my home city. Other than the 100,000-mile tune up, I have not had to put any major repairs into the car - making it an economical vehicle for me as a student. The fuel economy is great, too. I can usually get through a 6-hour road trip and not need to stop for gas until I get to my destination. I like the idea that I'll be able to drive this car for a very long time, as Toyotas are built to last.
Story
One of my favorite trips in this car was a trip down to the Lake of the Ozarks for a relaxing weekend with my best friend. My car was still relatively new to me at the time, and I think that trip might have been the first significant one I had taken in it. It was only a 3-hour drive, and I just listened to my playlists while enjoying the sunset on the way there. It was cool enough that I didn'... (more)
Pros
In addition to the fuel economy, I have to say one of the top positive things about my Toyota is the audio jack. I never had a jack for an auxiliary cord before in my previous cars, so this feature is fantastic for someone like me who frequently listens to music and podcasts on her phone. I also like how spacious the car is. I have friends who are 6' 2" who can ride comfortably in my car. I've also found that there's a lot of space for luggage, boxes, etc., which was extremely helpful to me in the three times I've moved since buying this car. The seats are comfortable and in great shape. T... (more)
Cons
I can't think of anything too negative with this vehicle - only things that I wish I had but don't necessarily need. My other Toyotas, which were older than my current '09 model, have had key fobs to automatically lock and unlock the doors. This Toyota didn't come with a key fob, and I'm rather surprised it didn't. It would be really nice to have that to more easily get in, out, and secure my car. I also wish this make/model had a sun roof.

The Toyota Corolla is a spacious car for being a fuel-friendly car. I can fit 3 booster seats in the back. The trunk is also very large. It's stylish. The ride is comfortable. I got the base model, and I love it. I love the manual transmission. I was shopping around for a long time to find a manual. Some of the base models where too basic...no automatic windows or lock? No thanks. The Corolla is perfect. It gets great gas mileage. I am hoping to pass it down to my 10-year-old daughter. Then I'll buy a new Corolla. Also, the price was great. It is a hard car to pass up. I did splurge and added in the cruise control for our family trips. You won't be disappointed with the Corolla. One more thing, my friend is still driving his 1995 Corolla.
Story
A memorable story. We had the car for only 2 days when my youngest daughter learned how to ride a bike without training wheels. She didn't give herself enough room to turn and scraped the side of my new car with her handle bars. Yikes. Nice long white scrape along my dark blue car.
Pros
Great gas mileage about 35 mpg. The price was right about 16,000. I was able to get a manual transmission. It comfortable fits my extra petite frame and my husband's extra large frame. The driver side seat has a lever that allows the seat to be raised, so I can see over the steering wheel.
Cons
It is the base model, so it lacks some of the features that are standard on most new vehicles like back-up camera, cruise control, keyless entry. That's all I can complain about. I love the car.

I really liked my experience at this dealership because they seemed to actually care about my time there and really helped me out to find a great car for me. Everyone there had a smile and seemed really nice. They were just really cooperative with me throughout the whole process.
