When I first got this car 5 years ago I had my doubts - it didn't look very sturdy, and I'd heard so many jokes about Priuses and their lack of performance. But this has turned out to be by far the best car I have ever owned/driven. The mileage is fantastic - I have a very long commute and work 6 days a week, but only have to fill up once every other week, and it only takes 25 dollars for a full tank, which my wallet really appreciates. I've put over 180,000 miles on this car, in snow and rain and desert, and it still runs great - with routine maintenance, it continues to perform just as well as when I first started driving it. The compact nature of the car is extremely convenient as well - it has plenty of room on the inside for friends, dogs, and practically living out of my car, but... (more)
Story
I love seeing other matching cars - mine is a unique color and since it's an older model, it's rare to see the exact same car on the road. But every once in a while I'll find myself driving beside an identical Prius on the highway, and we always smile and wave.
Pros
I'm in love with the fuel economy and the size. It allows me to park in pretty much any parking space, make tight turns, and not have to fill up excessively even though I drive a ton. It's great for my wallet.
Cons
I'd say the only negative is that it can get a bit loud, but that's to be expected with a car that's 13 years old and has over 180,000 miles on it.

This car is smooth to drive and gas mileage is a big plus - gas is not a huge expense. However, in my experience the tires and prone to popping more so than other cars, not sure if this is maybe due to a small frame. Plenty of ample trunk space and backseat for a vehicle so small. I personally am not the best at parking so it's good to have a compact car. With snow tires in the winter it does not matter that it does not have 4WD. Bluetooth is great.
Story
People lightheartedly joke because most people in my family also have Priuses.
Pros
I love the Bluetooth and the fact that the air vent is wide enough for me to place a phone mount there and use it as a GPS. The fuel efficiency is shown to you live on the electronic dashboard while driving. I do not have to spend a lot of money on gas. The keyless entry feature is great, as I usually have my hands full. This also goes for 'stroking' the door handle to lock it. There is ample room in the trunk space and backseat for such a small car. The compact nature makes it easy to park. Drives very smoothly.
Cons
The tires pop easily in my experiences, just slightly going over a curb will put a hole in it. However, most people I talk to say this isn't a common problem with Priuses that they know of, so it is possible my experience is rare. The gas tank is small so it empties quickly - I drive 45 minutes to work every day so with that commute I fill it weekly. The dashboard symbols are at times frustrating, the meaning isn't immediately clear when a specific one appears for the first time.

They were easy to deal with. I went through the internet and asked for the lowest out the door price. They gave me a quote that was the lowest out of everyone within my radius and so I went to their location. When I got there, there were no issues with the quote. I simply signed the papers, handed them a check, and off I went

It wasn't that they were great, but I needed a different car because my family was getting bigger. The car I had before was leased, and I could only return the first car to the same company to be able to get a different car that suited me better.
