Overall, I love this car. It saves me a ton of money on gas. The car is now ten years old with over 150,000 miles on it and is still holding up very well. It has been reliable, and I love the color (blue).
Story
This has been a wonderful commuter vehicle. When I lived in Milwaukee, I had a 45-minute freeway commute, and this was a lifesaver.
Pros
The best things about this car is the gas savings. The car I had before this was also a nice sedan, and I thought I had pretty decent gas mileage, but I after I bought this car, I literally started spending half of what I had been before. I love the push button start, as I can keep my key clipped to my bag all the time and never lose it. The car runs very quietly which can be very nice. I also like seeing the active screen explaining the gas mileage and the battery charge.
Cons
The quiet ride is lovely but can also be disconcerting as I cannot hear obvious issues that I am used to with other cars. The other large negative is that repairs (and problems have admittedly been rare) are required, and they are expensive. For example, battery replacement can be well over $1,000. I have not had to replace the main battery, but I have needed to replace the back-up battery, and it was just about $1,000. Replacing the headlight required the bumper to be taken off - costing well over $100.

2008 Toyota Prius - Great car with great mpg and very roomy.

This is the first time owning a hybrid. I was hesitant as lots of people kept chirping about how the battery would need replacing and it costs $3,500 or more. Well, it's now 11 years old, and the battery is still fine. It runs great, have never had any issues with it, is plenty roomy and keeps great gas mileage. Right now averaging 43 mpg city...when it was newer, it avg 49 mpg.
Story
At Lowes, we suddenly decided to buy some 4x6, even though we were in my Prius...I said they'd never fit. He didn't want to go back home and get the truck. So we measured and he said they'd fit. And they sure did! The front were on the dashboard, and the read almost touching the hatchback door, but they fit with all doors closed.
Pros
The gas mileage obviously...no need to plug in and still get 43 mpg on avg on a car over 10 years old. It's very roomy, had two car seats in it when visiting grand kids, and they were easy to access and get in and out. I could still get groceries and things in hatchback area.
Cons
You can hear a lot of outside noise. True of any car I have ever owned though. And going thru parking lots or slow speed areas since the engine cuts off and you run on battery. People might not hear you, so you really need to be aware of that!

No pushy people. A very pleasant experience. They were genuinely interested in helping me find the perfect vehicle at a price I can afford. I will tell everybody I know about how awesome these people are.
