I bought this vehicle in 2012 and have never had any issues with it. I have only had to change oil and tires and I've put 100k on it. You're not going to get that out of any competitors. I will definitely buy another Tundra. I paid it off, and I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have it for another five to ten years and another 200k miles. I also love to go off-road a lot. This truck can hang with the best of them. Its off-road package is amazing. I can traverse any terrain with the suspension. The skid plates also protect the undercarriage when on rough terrain. The towing capacity is in line with all of the other heavy duty trucks on the road. I've towed 11k with no problems. The tow button allows your transmission to adjust to different roads. I have been able to travel mountain road... (more)
Story
We got stuck by a lake and the truck was able to get us out of the jam with its 4 wheel low. This truck is a proven off-road beast.
Pros
Off-road capabilities, interior space, towing capacity, value.
Cons
Gas mileage could be better. 14 miles city, 16 miles highway.

I bought my Toyota Tundra used with almost 85,000 miles on it. It has towed my 6,000-lb. Airstream travel trailer all over the US without a hiccup. It now has 110,000 miles on it, and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. My Tundra has been to 15 different National Parks. Has climbed and descended as much as 17% road grades in some of the most inhospitable temperatures. It has been an ultra-reliable truck throughout my ownership, and I would not hesitate to purchase another.
Story
Truck has been to 15 different National Parks this year alone. It has traveled all across the country and has been super reliable. We were in Death Valley on a 17% descent followed by a 15% ascent and it performed flawlessly.
Pros
Ultra reliable. This truck has never caused me one issue or broke down. Very comfortable. I have taken the truck on some very long trips. Technologically advanced. Has many features you wouldn't expect to find in a 2011. Tons of room for stuff. I have all of our camping necessities always packed in the bed under a locking cover.
Cons
I bought it used and it was white. I would never pick a white truck because it looks like a refrigerator going down the road, but this truck is tough looking. I had one issue with some air injection pumps that were a known defect. Toyota corrected the $2,000 issue under warranty as long as the vehicle had less than 250,000 miles. Most vehicles would not last that long, but I know this Toyota will.
