The truck is built to last. Having owned it for over 10 years, and it being almost 25 years old, I am just now replacing original parts on it that have finally needed to be replaced (ball joints, shocks, ac compressor) The only thing lacking on the vehicle is the engine power, it is a 3.0 liter and just doesn't have much horsepower. The other thing that doesn't work well for a DIY (do it yourself) person, is the engineering of some of the components. Changing bushings in the gear box, working on fuel filters and CV axles, can test your patience. Overall, even with the hardships, I would not trade anything for this. It has always been reliable and worked when needed.
Story
Taking it off road for the first time after installing a lift and new tires. Worked like it was meant for being off the concrete.
Pros
Simplicity. Unlike newer cars, you can figure out how to do things yourself and not rely on mechanics or other professionals to do it. Plus you learn how to do things for yourself.
Cons
Engineering. Whoever decided on how to build this thing did not plan on a normal human being to be able to work on it. The angles and design make it very difficult to change certain parts (ac, cv axles).

I absolutely love, love, love my Toyota 4Runner. The style is great, it is absolutely beautiful, yet at the same time, it is a tough, sporty SUV. It handles very well and is very comfortable and roomy. My 4Runner tows our boat without any problems. I love having a third row seat, which is great for when we travel with our two kids and other family members. I also like how easy it is to put my third row seating up or down. It's a true sports utility vehicle. Having had a BMW before this, I think my 4Runner drives even better than it did. I've never had any problems with it, and the Toyota service department (for regular maintenance) has been easy to work with. I love how high up it sits. I also like that I don't feel like I'm driving a tank. The back-up camera is the best one we've had ... (more)
Story
Towing our boat to the beach. We took our kids fishing on the boat, and they had a great time.
Pros
Handling. Comfort. Price. Style. Looks. Towing capacity. Third row seat. Warranty. Service department. Resale value.
Cons
Gas mileage. Available options.

The dealers there were very respectful and they were not pushing or pressuring me into buy a car. The whole car buying experience was a very smooth process. When I decided to buy the car I could tell that they were trying their best to quickly get all the paperwork done. Their prices and negotiations were also very competitive in the area, I'm sure I got a great deal.

I loved the fact that the dealership was willing to work with my budget. They didn't try to put me in a car that I didn't want. They listened to what I wanted and what I wanted to pay, and put me in a car that matched in both areas.
