The 2008 VW Jetta has been a great car for me. I travel long distances much more often than most and needed a car with decent furl mileage, but also great comfort. The Jetta has given me just that. On those long trips, I get good gas mileage and smooth ride while blasting music on a great stereo system. The large truck allows me to take all the luggage that I need on these trips with me without having to sacrifice. Through the years the only real problem I have had with the car has been that in cold, wet weather, the brakes tend to grind a bit before they get warmer up. The handling of the car is great and has saved me from a couple of situations where quick, unexpected circumstances arise on the road. The car has been everything I could have asked it to be when buying it years ago. I really couldn't have made a better decision.

Overall, it's very fair of a vehicle. It sits well for those that don't want a maximalist piece in their garage, but it's good mainly for the simple minded and simple-hearted people. Not a lot of people like to see cars as a comfort option first but I do, and it was one of the things that brought me to happiness with this vehicle. The vehicle rides really nice on gas, and the interior/exterior is well matched. Don't take it from another person that these cars are not good for families. They are and they fit a lot of people/space surprisingly.
