BMW withstood the hype and seeming over exaggeration of the 90's as the ultimate driving machine, but in my opinion it is, and here's why. Put superficial reasoning aside, and two things really stand out with this vehicle-- High Quality and Safety. The well crafted engineering of this vehicle speaks for itself. Most high tech features which would be upgrades in other cars are standard with the BMW. This car has outperformed all of my other vehicles hands down. In terms of maintenance, handling the road, features, and over all style, it leads the pack. Technical repairs are expensive but if the car is maintained, over the long haul, I believe it fairs cheaper than most. It has serious horsepower, but its well built exterior and weightiness which hugs the road engenders safety for it... (more)

The sound system is so awesome, I would have to say I have fun just driving this car with the music booming. It makes driving fun.

The 2011 BMW 335i is a car with two different personalities. The first personality is that of a capable, competent highway cruiser. The coupe version of this car is ideal for two adults and a weekend's worth of luggage. The second personality of the 2011 BMW 335i is that of a rocket ship. To enable rocket ship mode, just put the transmission lever into the sport position, turn off traction control and drop your right foot. Once the turbo comes on, this car is a beast! Luckily, it has brakes and suspension to match its acceleration.
Story
I had valet parked my vehicle at a hotel one weekend. When my car was retrieved by the valet, a pair of older gentlemen were looking at the car in admiration. They were a little surprised when I said excuse me and proceeded to get in the car and drive away (I look pretty young).
Pros
The top positive things about this vehicle are the turbocharged engine, the 4 wheel disc brakes, and the sport seats. The interior creature comforts are that of a luxury car with a good stereo. The driver controls are intuitively placed and the car is comfortable to drive for hours. Interior road and wind noise are minimal and what one would expect from a car of this price and caliber.
Cons
Some of the negative aspects of the 2011 BMW 335i are that the air conditioning is weak by American car standards. Another negative is that you pay for the fun aspects of this car in gas and tires. The car requires Z-rated tires that are very responsive, but don't last very long, especially when in rocket ship mode! An annoying negative is that some of the exterior rubber trim has failed after exposure to the California sun, but it was fixed under warranty.
