My LeSabre has 175k miles on it. I have had few problems. As long as the maintenance regime is kept up with, this model of car can often last 300k miles. I have had to replace the driver side power window regulator twice for a repair cost of about $300 each time. The air ride system for the rear wheels has also failed, but the car is drivable without it. Part are widely available and moderately priced. For its size and age, the fuel economy is quite good. I get about 28mpg on the highway. Acceleration is also pretty good. The AC compressor has developed a leak requiring the refrigerant to be topped off annually. Also, the ac condenser drain gets plugged occasionally, requiring it to be cleared or else water will leak onto the front passenger side floor boards. One quick to this vehicle... (more)
Story
I have taken this vehicle camping all over Michigan and have really enjoyed driving it over the years.
Pros
The engine is one of the most reliable gas engines ever produced, the ride is very smooth, and repair parts are widely available and moderately priced.
Cons
The vehicle's ground clearance suffers when the air ride rear suspension inevitably fails, and it is expensive to fix. This vehicle also suffers from more frequent than average electrical issues, which many mechanics don't know how to fix. This is a full-size sedan, which means it gets less gas mileage than a smaller car, but without the off-road or awd capability of a different large vehicle like an SUV and without much more cargo capacity.

The 2003 Buick LeSabre is stylish with plenty of head and leg room. It looks contemporary - not the boxy Buick styles of the past. I have driven two 2003 Buicks - one for 140,000 miles and the other for 50,000 miles. My next car will be a Buick. The car fits my lifestyle perfectly.
Story
Both Buicks I have owned were purchased new, but I didn't pay for either one. My father bought each one as a gift for me. He passed away 4 years ago, and I still have both Buicks as a way to honor him. I'm putting more work into them, but I plan to keep them as long as possible. Dad had Buicks when I was growing up, and he worked at General Motors for 30 years. Buick makes me think of my ... (more)
Pros
Leather seats and automatic features were what sold me on this car. Leather seats are easy to clean (I had two small children at the time I bought it) and the seats remain in good condition 13 years later. Seats, mirrors, windows are all electronic and make getting comfortable easy and driving a pleasure. There's even a memory feature to store 2 different driver's preferences for all features - including radio stations.
Cons
I am not able to move the rear-view mirror. It's stationary and intended to dim when bright lights shine in it. However, it has a slow response time and dims to a certain degree. I would rather be able to tilt the mirror as needed. Also, the motor for the power windows (all 4) have failed, each costing about $300 to replace.
