I enjoyed purchasing my Chevy Cavalier. It's fairly new, and even newer than the van I was gifted by my mother before I moved out. The van never failed me, even when it had troubles. So I knew I could trust a vehicle made by the company. Overall, I liked test driving it out at the used car lot where I found it. It stood out to me when I first saw it, and I haven't had any major problems with it ever since. I plan on using it for quite some time if fate has it. I've had it for about a year at this point, and I can't say that I dislike anything about it. It runs well, and it has heat for the colder weather. I know what kind of problems usually happen with it and when it will need services. The gas mileage is the best out of any of the other cars I've driven. If I were to buy another car,... (more)
Story
One fun memory I had with this vehicle was when I was first test driving it. It was almost like I was driving a race car as I was used to driving a van, which is super tall compared to it. It didn't disappoint in the slightest.
Pros
It has good heating and air conditioning. It doesn't have any discernible issues with driving or braking. It's low to the ground so it has good handling. Even drives well in winter climates. I've never had problems starting it up even on the coldest of Minnesota winters.
Cons
Some of the drawbacks include that it has cloth seats. The interior could be a little nicer. I don't like how the headlights look. It makes a loud noise when the heat is running, and the check engine light comes on because of the gas cap.

I bought this 2004 Chevy Cavalier new. I purposely asked for no electric doors or seats. I don't trust electric stuff, because if it breaks, it is expensive to fix or replace. I love this car. In all the years I've had it, there's never been a single issue with it. It still looks and runs like a new car. When I take it in for oil changes, the workers always comment that it seems brand new. I am sad because they no longer make this car. But it will likely take me through another 10–15 years easy. It's a very dependable car.
Story
I live in Minnesota, and the year I bought this car, I lived in a small apartment building of ten apartments with only outdoor parking. The temperature dropped down to 60 degrees F below zero, and mine was the only car in the lot that started without needing a jump. It's the little car that could.
Pros
This is a two-door coupe but has plenty of room inside and in the trunk. It will treat you right if you do regular maintenance on it. The engine purrs like a kitten and will never give you trouble. In fact, the original tires and battery lasted 12 years before they needed to be replaced. This car will save you money, because it's so dependable.
