Great car
There’s a reason BMW tags its most famous model using the phrase "the ultimate driving machine." Along with a couple of other BMW models, the 2012 3 Series is among the best performance vehicles in the class. Handling is a pleasant balance of sportiness and comfort, though the base engine is underpowered. However, there are several upgrades that provide more muscle. Matching this impressive performance is the 3 Series' interior which features premium materials to provide an air of elegance. It’s short on a rear-view camera and some other common standard features, but the included entertainment system is one of the best of any brand. The BMW 3 Series has been an excellent overall car for decades, and that still rings true for the 2012 model.

BMW the premium car
The 2012 BMW 328i was my first BMW. I chose to buy the BMW based on the reputation for reliability rather than the name. On my first trip to the dealership, I realized that BMWs no longer has the deep engine sounds I had come to associate with them, and they also have the annoying auto start/stop feature that is set to on by default in order to meet new emissions standards. I did the research online and had actually decided on a 335i, but surprisingly, it wasn't available in my requisite black/black trim at any of the dealerships near me. The salesman convinced me to test drive a 328i instead, and I was surprised at the quick acceleration of the four-cylinder engine. I figured I could live with the fact that it was smaller than my normal car (Acura TL was the last), but I was wrong. The car was quick to accelerate, it handled well, and the sound system was good. The features weren't very user friendly, and I spent hours reading the owner's manual to get the hang of them. The smaller cabin also proved to be very annoying, as I couldn't put water bottles in the storage area under the door handles. You want a sport car or a economy car; it is everything. The ride is smooth and fast when you want it to be. Gives about 39 mpg on highway. Yes ,that is true, 39 mpg. It comes with a four-year maintenance contract where you don't pay anything out of pocket for four years or 50,000 miles. The handling is good. Lots of people would say that the steering feels harder at times, but there is a reason for that. It is speed sensitive and makes you feel connected with your car. The sedan is spacious for five adults and still gives you about 32 to 33 mpg when occupied with average-size five adults. Does not suffer on pickup or ride quality.
