Shattered Expectations
The BMW I leased was great at first. The speed was relatively faster than the Honda I had turned over as a down payment, and just the fact of owning the brand brought a sense of calm to me as a driver. However, as time went on, the negatives of leasing this car started to spur out.

Good car, but a few issues
I really liked the fit and finish of the car. It is above average looking, although not exceptional. I REALLY like the maintenance free part of having the lease. I like not having to pay for basic maintenance and oil changes. I appreciate the loaners that BMW gives you at no cost. The power and performance are pretty decent. I consider myself a "car nut" and I don't feel that I compromised with this choice. The problems I do have is that BMW constantly nickels and dimes its customers. Luxury cars that I have owned in the past come equipped with standard luxuries, like backup cameras, leather interior, heated mirrors, HID headlights, etc. BMW consistently offers the bare minimum and then over charges for what are included as a standard options on Infinitis, Acuras, etc. On the whole, though, I do really like the car and I would consider a BMW in the future, the one thing that they don't seem to compromise on is the performance. The price forr performance can be had many other places for cheaper, though. I feel that BMW has built a status symbol that allows them to demand a higher price for the same level of performance. But I will admit the car seems very solid and I have had no issues. There are no creaks or rattles and it has been very reliable.
