2007 Dodge Caliber Usados en Venta

It's a decent car, I purchased it in 2011, used. It is nice looking on the outside and inside. It does not have features that I didn't realize I needed for my family. I was afraid to go to a larger car from my 2 seater when I got pregnant, so this was nice because it was bigger but not too big.

I originally purchased this car based on the physical appearance. I thought that the car looked really cook, kind of rugged but also sleek. When I originally test drove the vehicle, it was in a neighborhood with a low sped limit, so I was not really able to test it fully. It performed well, I liked that it was a smooth, quiet vehicle. Unfortunately, The car only has two gears, so when I drive on the highway or interstate, My speed maxes out and it slows to a dangerous speed. I swear it scares me every time. I have learned to adjust to the ways of this car, however if I had known how lite the motor is, I would have chosen something else. I went from driving a dodge ram 2500, with a lot of power. It has been a tough transition. The size of this vehicle is decent, however when I had my first child his year and went to install a normal sized infant car seat, it would not fit without having the passenger seat moved up to an uncomfortable, compact position. It also does not have very much cargo space in the back, so not much room to store much more than 6 bags of groceries. If I had to put more than 2 people in the vehicle, the 3rd person would be very uncomfortable. The back seats do not have much leg room, and the middle seat is so narrow that no normal sized adult could sit in it for very long.

It runs decent enough and gets fairly good gas mileage. I bought the car and instantly had to pay 400 dollars for a transmission fluid change because it has a sealed transition. It also has a leak in the gas line which shows as a gas cap problem. I replaced the gas cap and the engine light and gas cap warning is still there. It also needed a cam sensor replaced within one month. All in all I paid for the gear and then instantly had 1000 in repairs. It struggles to reach high gears. I like the space of the hatchback and the AC plug in the car is a nice feature. I hate that there is only one key hole on the drivers door and none on the passenger door or the hatchback door. I like the look overall and the seats are comfortable enough. The car does not have any bells or whistles that similar vehicles of its year have. It is a bare bones vehicle.
