2006 Honda Ridgeline - I love the Honda Ridgeline. Has great functionality for a truck and an SUV. The best of both worlds.

I have always wanted a truck but also loved my SUVs. So I decided to give the Honda Ridgeline a try. And it is amazing. I love how roomy the inside is; the has been quite surprising to a lot of people. But I also love that I am able to haul things in the back of the truck and have a trunk area under the bed. There is so much room. And this has helped out a lot because we travel to see family all year round. The ride is very quiet and smooth. It handles great in bad weather. I live in an area where we experience all 4 seasons so 4-wheel drive was a must. The way the vehicle handles is exceptional. I am really amazed and blown away by how well it travels on the interstate and hugs turns and curves more like an suv rather than a truck! I will probably stick with Honda from here on out! I ... One of the most memorable moments is when we had to travel out of town to gather Christmas presents from all of our family. I never in a million years would have though they all would have fit. But sure enough, the did. We also took a trip to Disney World in it.
A Favor
There are so many pros when it comes to the Honda Ridgeline. The way the vehicle drives is so smooth for a truck and/or larger vehicle. The way it hugs curves is amazing, which is something I was a little worried about. It handles exceptionally well is snow and ice also. I have been pretty impressed. The interior is very roomy for passengers; people don't feel like they are smashed into one another. There is also a lot of storage area in the interior. As well as in the trunk compartment under the bed. I love the fact that they have an area for ice and water to drain in the trunk in case yo... (more)

I do think it is a pain in the butt having to take it in for so many recalls on air bags. But that has happened with a few Honda vehicles that we have owned, so it's not really the Ridgeline, in particular. I would also complain about the air conditioning system. I have had to have it charged over and over. Then finally I had to have it replaced last summer. I have had many vehicles longer that did not have those kind of problems with the air conditioner. I guess my only other really big negative thing to say about my Honda Ridgeline is the fact that I have had a few problems with the radi... (more)

The Honda Ridgeline is a small truck that is big on features. It's the perfect vehicle for someone looking for truck features in a vehicle that is easy to handle. The Ridgeline drives like an SUV yet offers a roomy truck bed ideal for hauling materials for home improvements, soil or mulch for the garden, and bikes, canoes, or kayaks for the sports enthusiast. If you transport more than one passenger on your outings, don't fear. The Ridgeline provides ample room for a family of five with a spacious front passenger seat and room for three in the second row seats. And these aren't tiny jump seats. The Ridgeline offers a full back seat with plenty of room for adult passengers. If you enjoy tailgating, the Ridgeline has you covered. There is a trunk nestled into the bed of the truck... (more)

The Ridgeline has become our camping vehicle, and we use it to pull our trailer in which we have built many family memories.
A Favor
It's small enough to easily drive yet big enough on features. I've used it in many different ways including a simple transport vehicle to take my children to and from activities. I've also used it on many occasions to haul items from the local hardware store, including large pieces of wood and construction material. It's a great little truck for transporting soil for my garden and mulch for flower beds. We are campers, so we use the Ridgeline to pull our trailer to the campsite. We purchased on optional truck bed cover allowing us to take all of our camping gear in the back of the tru... (more)

I have not been impressed with the gas mileage of this vehicle. I was aware I was purchasing a fuel economy vehicle when I looked at the Ridgeline, however, I was hoping to get more than 13 miles to a gallon of gas for my city driving. On the highway, it does better, getting about 16 miles to a gallon, however, I think some larger trucks do better. Maintenance of the vehicle has been easy, however, a nationwide recall of many Honda products for air bag concerns has been bothersome. In fact, recall parts are not yet available and likely won't be for several months.

My Honda Ridgeline is great truck. It has over 100k miles but runs like it did when it is brand new. It is the perfect vacation car as it has room for all types of sporting equipment as well as the whole family. It is great in all weather conditions and has never let me down. The stereo system is very good and I didn't feel like any upgrades were necessary to improve the quality of sound. The bed of the truck is just the right size, large enough to accommodate most loads but not too large as to make driving/parking difficult. Overall, this is a great truck and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a practical and dependable machine.
