2008 Honda CR-V - Great car for just what I need
This is the first car that I have owned after driving several different family car models, and I have enjoyed its combination of comfort and practicality. It is quite roomy, good for myself as the driver and my friends who ride in the passenger's and back seats. The most useful feature has been the large trunk size, which I can expand by easily folding up the back seats. I have had to move several times in the past year, and I couldn't have done it without a car like this with a great amount of room for cargo. The car looks nice on the inside and out but can still handle all of the long distance driving I do. I especially like the quality of fabric lining the seats and interior space, a cloth-like fabric that stays somewhat cooler in the heat outside. There are only two features I find... (more)

There are only two features I find lacking in this model. First, it would be great if the model I have featured four wheel drive, but since I live in a relatively warm climate I don't have to worry too much about snow or other weather conditions that would make such a feature necessary. I also would prefer a faster acceleration capacity for highway driving, like that of a Toyota Rav-4 with a V6 engine that my parents drive.
Many times I have enjoyed driving my friends to a late night drive thru and eating good food together. This car has been comfortable for fitting all of my friends, even in the middle seat.

My favorite feature of the vehicle is the style. It is black with a tan fabric interior, so it looks nice even when dirty and stays cool on the inside when parked in the summer heat because of the light interior color. I like the CD player and the auxiliary outlet so I can plug my iPod into the stereo system and listen to music.

2005 Honda CR-V - This Car Will Go Forever
I love this car! I have had it since about 2010 and it has lasted me 5 years. I got it when it had 90,000 miles on it, and it now has 260,000 miles on and is still running. There were two recalls that came in the past two years for something with the airbags and something with the mechanism in the windows. I haven't had any issues with either, but Honda will repair the recalls for free. My version of the CRV has a table in the trunk. The amount of room that is in this car is amazing it can haul so much. I wish that mine had racks on it and I do wish it had 4 wheel drive so I could really push it to the limit! But overall this baby is a beast. It's got 260,000 miles on it and does not feel like it is going to give out anytime soon. I'm going to drive this thing into the ground. If you h... (more)

If you have a family this is a great car, it has 5 seats and plenty of trunk space and the seats fold down so you can haul even more stuff. My ac went out last year but other than that it has been a fantastic car and I would recommend it to everyone and to get the little upgrades here and there that would make a difference.
I've moved 5 different times using this car all around Metro Atlanta and taking it to yard sales and antiquing and camping. This car can put up with a lot and is a lot of fun!

There is SOOOO much room, the table in the trunk is awesome for camping, and the fact that this thing never breaks down and you can put so many miles on it.

Not a big fan of the cloth seats, they get dirty easily. I wish mine had racks on the roof and four wheel drive and that is about it. Oh and tinted windows would help keep the car cool in the summer time.

2006 Honda CR-V -
This vehicle was purchased as a salvage title, with 79k miles on it. We purchased this vehicle several years ago, and it will be 10 years old next year. Since purchasing, we have had no major issues with the car, only regular scheduled maintenance. We purchased this car to replace a Honda Civic, because the Civic was too small for our growing family. This car is a great size, very roomy, but drives like a smaller car. I immediately felt comfortable driving it, and had no trouble adjusting from my much smaller Civic. It's fun to drive, with tight handling and good acceleration. Our edition has a sun roof and heated seats, which we didn't think we would use, but are one of our favorite features of this car. We live in a climate that gets a lot of snow, and the car handles the snow easily, and is big enough to feel safe in the event of a crash. We have taken this car across the country and back, with no issues. Our dog rides in the very back, child in the back seat, and we ride in front. There's plenty of room for luggage and legroom, and overall it's the best car we've driven for long trips.
We once took our car out to watch planes take-off while we had a picnic in the back. We folded up the back seats and had plenty of room to stretch out and eat, with a great view out the back!

We love how the car feels safe for our family. Living in the mountains, we need a car that can handle snow and big hills, and this car does really well with both. The car handles like a smaller car, with tight handling and traction control, but is a great size for young families. It has the space for two car seats in the backseat, with room for one person to sit between them. The cargo space is excellent, and the options for having a spare on the back and/or in the provided space in the back hatch is fantastic. Our favorite feature of the CRV is the heated seats. This was a feature we didn't expect to use frequently, but now use every day in the cooler months. It has consistently worked, and the car is 9 years old. Another nice feature is the smaller mirror inset in the driver's side mirror, this mirror allows the driver to see any vehicles that might be coming up in their blind-spot and is a fantastic feature. It's small, but something that makes a huge difference. Cargo space is exceptional, we have completed long trips with lots of gear, including children and dogs, and always have plenty of space. Gas mileage is great too, obviously less than a car, but still efficient for a larger vehicle.
As much as we love this vehicle, there are some negatives. Being a small SUV, the pickup isn't fantastic once you get up to about 50mph, it has trouble hitting that next gear on a hill, though it does eventually get there. The pickup is not an issue for us, but it could definitely be improved. We aren't huge fans of the carpet in the car, either, underneath the included floor mats. As someone who has worked in the car detailing business, this is the worst type of carpet and very difficult to maintain. If I could change anything about this vehicle, it would be the carpet. The mats are a great quality, it would have been smarter to carpet the vehicle with that material and skip the mats altogether! Another not-so-great feature of the vehicle is the glass on the back hatch- the button on the key opens the glass, but really it isn't useful at all. The opening is very small, I can't imagine a scenario where opening that hatch would be any use at all. It would have been better to skip that feature altogether and put more thought into the carpet situation!
