I've been a CRV person since I bought my mom's when I was in my early 20s, and I'm on my second one since then. It would be hard for me to buy anything that's not a Honda for the rest of my life. I'm not a car person, and I think the utility of an SUV is default requirement for me. However, I'm also broke, so SUV fuel prices have never seemed great to me. With my CRV, I don't have to worry about burning gas everywhere I go. This is the most fuel efficient vehicle. CRVs have an incredible amount of storage space for "small to medium" size SUVs. My sister, her boyfriend, her two kids and all their luggage recently took a 10-hour drive to vacation in Florida and used my CRV in lieu of a rent. They said it was perfectly comfortable, fit all their luggage with plenty of leg room to spare. T... (more)

To be honest, I have a lot of fun in my CRV. Most of it revolves around dogs and kids (my two nieces). My brother, sister and I are really close, and there are two kids in our immediate family. Two labs and us being in our early thirties means that we still go do a lot of outdoor stuff, and we spend exorbitant amounts of money in the hardware store getting stuff for our enormous backyard parad... There aren't many features on mine. It's the basic version. However, there's a removable shelf in the back trunk area, and that is the most incredibly awesome feature. Just something little, but essentially splits the trunk into two levels. Incredibly useful for shopping and storing luggage, etc. Also, the car is the most reliable car you can really get. You can drive those things into the ground and they don't complain. You will almost always get from point A to point B in a Honda CRV.
En Contra
It's pretty basic. It's a 2011 and I get that there weren't a whole lot of new fangled connectivity features back then. However, CRVs, in my opinion, have always been notoriously underwhelming when it comes to bells and whistles. I guess that's the trade-off you accept for incredible gas mileage, SUV roominess, good price and the ability to get 250,000+ miles out of the vehicle.

This is my second CRV. The first I had in college and this one has seen me get married and have two kids. It has done it all from moving multiple times to bringing my babies home from the hospital. With 4WD, I have never had to worry in the snowy/icy winters of Virginia or the torrential rains I now face in Georgia. It has plenty of space with the back seats down to haul anything you need. I can fit two backward facing car seats in the back and have leg room for me at 5'7", but my husband is a bit cramped at 6'2". Once the car seat is forward facing behind him, there is no problem with leg room. Reliability is key for me and this car comes through every time. No major issues to report.

When we were living in VA we had a mountain cabin for a weekend. It was a bad dirt road up a steep hill to get there. My father-in-law's car couldn't make it after multiple tries and bottoming out a few times. Slow and steady the CRV climbed that hill without a problem.

The top two reasons I bought a CRV the first time and returned a few years later are: 1) The AWD or 4WD has meant that in most weather and road conditions I don't have to worry. This car can handle rain, ice, and bumpy dirt roads without a problem. 2) The turning radius. I can park anywhere, make U turns that other sedans can't, and parallel park with ease. Now I have to add cargo room to my list of positives. I can keep an umbrella stroller in my car at all times without having to worry about having room for the groceries or sports equipment. With two small kids, cargo room is of th... (more)
En Contra
The seats are not comfortable for long car rides. We regularly have to travel six hours to see family, and after a couple hours our rear ends are asleep. We bought foam seat cushions to combat this issue on long car rides. The only other issue on long rides is the road noise. It is not quite as quiet as other cars that I have driven.
