Fun and reliable
I initially bought this car as an SUV that was affordable with acceptable gas mileage. I also lived in a very cold climate at the time and wanted a car with four-wheel drive. I was nervous about buying a Jeep because historically they are known to be unreliable. I have been fairly good about regular maintenance and have since moved to an average climate area but with terrible roads. I am very pleased with this car as it continues to have good gas mileage compared to SUVs. I also think the model of this SUV is very unique; I always loved Jeep Cherokees but was disappointed by their changing style around 2012, with many SUVs transitioning to more of a crossover look. I thought the Patriot was where Cherokees should have evolved and remain pleased with its appearance and color.

Dependable vehicle if you take care of it
When it came time for me to purchase my Jeep Patriot, I knew I wanted a smaller SUV but one that still had four-wheel drive as well. This was the perfect vehicle for me at the time because it had excellent fuel economy and plenty of space to store everything I needed to in it. Also, if I'm being honest, I also loved the prestige that comes with being a Jeep owner.
