Having had our Jeep Patriot for the last three years, we found that it holds up incredibly well in all types of weather and through all types of terrain. It has taken us through blizzards, mountains in Tennessee, flooded waters in Indiana, and more. It rarely gets stuck and can get us to any destination safely with its four-wheel drive when needed. We road trip a lot, not only business, but also pleasure and have found that the comfort and reliability of our vehicle is top notch. Pulling over to take a rest during a long road trip has never been a problem in our Patriot. The seats lay down nicely, and the adjustable head rest is great. My husband especially loves the cruise control option and uses it just about every time we're out on long stretches of road. We sometimes take our small dog with us who fits well in the backseat. Although any fine-haired shedding can be hard to remove without a brush, spills or accidents are easily cleaned from the seat material without leaving stains. As for the overall size of the vehicle, it fits five people comfortably and can accommodate quite a bit inside when the seats are down. We've had great luck fitting a six-foot Christmas tree in back every winter and even almost seven-foot wood boards when we did some remodeling last summer. Although we wish the back window had a hatch option to remain open for hauling things, we have never had a problem fitting things inside the vehicle with the trunk closed. Part of the beauty of the sport model is not having to worry about extra aspects of the vehicle that could run into issues. At first we didn't believe we could live without power door locks and windows, but when the Midwest freezes your window in the winter, it's much easier to get free without electronics being a factor. We really love our Jeep patriot, and with 150,000 miles on it and no issues, we know it was built to last. It is a quality, well-built machine that is great on gas mileage.

God must have inspired the creation of the Jeep!
From the moment I saw my Jeep, I knew it might be a long, happy relationship. First, after a lot of research to find the type of vehicle that would be perfect for my lifestyle, needs and the part of the country I live in for winter driving...I narrowed down my search to the Jeep. I really liked the reliability, safety ratings, and harsh artic winter driving conditions it would be road-capable with. I wanted a newer vehicle (less than two years old, low miles), and I didn't want to spend over 30 grand. My needs for a vehicle were these: ability to transport unruly very active 10-year-old Girl Scouts, a hyperactive Belgium Malinois breed dog, a herd of barn cats in large dog kennel carriers to and from the vet and assorted dog running parks, also the occasional few bales of hay on the luggage rack and in the back cargo area. It also had to be able to carry at least 20 cases of soda on July 4th, groceries for 2 households, transport 5 adults, be able to transport various 8-12' packages of house siding and trim, power tools, saws, potted plants and do all this gracefully while safely navigating snow drift covered country highways, icy-snowy harsh Minnesotan winters, and be able to drive thru 3 ft. drifts. Bonus, the Bluetooth system rocks, and it's very easy to pair passengers' devices to my jeep's on board system, so when a teenager decides to "share" their favorite music selection like Five Finger Death punch it has the capability to play it at extraordinarily loud, clear volume. And I have the capability to override that musical choice by pairing my device as 1st in que. There's so many things to love about my Jeep. It's affordable, reliable, I have the 2.5 liter engine, which still gets me 20mpg min in -40 temps (this includes 30 min prior warming, as I'm a power weinie with cold) and closer to 26-28mpg in less severe cold. The Jeep rides well, is comfortable, has nice get up and go, feels well constructed, tight steering, and is a joy to drive. I feel safe in this small SUV. Another positively joyous thing...well, two things about this rig? Oh, for sure the auto-start feature. When it's -58 Windchill, it's close to a divinely inspired car in Minnesota winter driving weather, and along with that is the heated front seats. Oh, heated seats and auto-start are just so wonderful when you have to go out in weather than can kill you with cold in minutes. I'd recommend a Jeep to anyone. I just love this car...and four years later, more so.
