2016 Subaru Forester
I just bought a brand new 2016 Subaru Forester after driving my 2001 Forester (which was also purchased new) into the ground. I had close to 300,000 miles on my old Forester, and am certain I will get that many or more on my new one! The first week I owned the new car I had to drive to Alabama to pick up my girlfriend's daughter to bring her back to Arkansas. Had it been the older car, the drive would have been much less enjoyable - it was so much louder due to weather stripping decaying that I had to blast the radio just to hear it. Not now! This new car is so quiet, I still can't get over it. I subscribe to satellite radio, and in my old car my satellite receiver was attached to a suction cup on the inside of the windshield, so changing stations was a pain. The steering wheel controls are SO much easier and better!

I love my Subaru!
I have wanted a Subaru since I was a kid. I love how dependable and safe it is -- before purchasing, that is what was important in the reviews I read. I purchased an upgraded model with many bells and whistles. It is great on gas mileage and a really smooth ride. The safety features are great -- it stops on its own, beeps quite loud if I don't see the car in front of me stop, tells me when the car in front of me moves if I'm not paying attention, can beep when I go out of the lane and re-corret itself and slows and speeds up using cruise control based on the car in front of you. It truly is a car that almost drives itself, and I feel much safer driving in a society where so many people are distracted while driving. I do believe there are so many features that I can be distracted unnecessarily -- push button screens to switch to audio, map, etc. So it's good that there is the anti-crash feature that stops my car if I am not paying attention. It has an amazing sound system with great bass, a nav system, an SOS button and OnStar, and I'll bet some things I haven't even figured out yet! I don't have anything negative to say about my car -- I absolutely love it. I will definitely drive this unless it dies and will buy another one!
