This is my first SUV. It is right size to me and cost me less than $25,000 on this CRV EX AWD model. The gas consumption is pretty good, too. I drive about 200-300 miles a week. I need to get gas about every ten days. It only require 87 grade regular gas. In seven years, I have driven closed 90,000 miles. So far, no major issues found. Just changed battery and four tires. Other than that, just keep the regular maintenance schedule. In winter, I feel much safer to drive a SUV.
Story
The first winter I had this car, my area had a historical winter storm. It took me seven hours to drive 22 miles from my work place to my home. Thank God, I got a full tank the day before. On the road, I saw a lot of cars were doing ice skating on the road. My car was relatively much stable. It can stay in the tracking line all the times. When I got home, I have a quarter tank gas left. Everyt... (more)
Pros
I like the car because it is very reliable and efficient. In 2000, CRV was redesigned. The car I drove has much better appearance than previous versions. In winter time, there is a lot of snow in my area. My AWD SUV did help me a lot on the road. It is very cost efficient, also. You can just get the regular gas and every gallon can run 23-25 miles for me. Maintenance cost is average. So far, I don't have major problem with it. I like the spacious trunk with separation board and the auto lock on the passengers' sides. I like the privacy glass window. The back seats have optional coffee hold... (more)
Cons
The car is a little bit light when driving on a highway and when I have a bigger truck on my side, I can feel it is being "pushed away." Another problem is it needs to work very hard to accelerate to highway speed. It took longer than my husband's car. And I wish it had an option to add a third row seat.

I like the overall size and quality of the vehicle. It is a 4 cylinder and yet it has enough get up and go that you barely notice. The EX model offers a little extra class than the base model. The touch screen, moon roof, fog lamps and heated seats are just a few of the upgrades it offers. It has the most safety features I have ever seen on a vehicle. The interior furnishings are nice, the seats are nice and durable.
Story
I personally love every time someone new gets in my car and notices the right side camera showing my blind spot.
Pros
The right side blind spot camera is perhaps my favorite feature of all. Overall, its safety features are top class. While navigation is not included with the touchscreen features, it is an option but requires an HDMI cable.
Cons
It does have a bit of a shaking issue when you are waiting at a light. Not a big deal, but not sure where it is coming from. Other reviews online said the same things. This model does not include navigation or roof racks.
