I purchased my 2008 Honda CRV LX used. It was in very good condition. This is my first CRV and I did not get any bells and whistles on my model but I still love it. It gets great mileage, easy to drive and the maintenance is very affordable. I have owed it for 3 years and have had no problems at all. I think I'll be a CRV owner for the rest of my life.
Story
My most memorable story is driving my CRV out of town to a funeral and having to drive through snow. It performed remarkably. My passengers told me I was a good driver but the car had a lot to do with that.
Pros
The top positive thing is it is one of the best vehicle's in it's class. My favorite feature is the size. It is compact, gets good mileage and holds it's value. It good for hauling garden supplies, small furniture and has lots of luggage room.
Cons
It's not that much on looks. It's not an ugly car but also not the best looking. The ride could be a little smoother but it's really not a big issue.

The 2002 Honda CR-V LX is a reliable car. Although I purchased it while it already had 149,000 miles, it ran great! I put over 100,000 miles on it since I purchased it five years ago, and it never had any problems. The quality of the car is great like all Hondas. You don't have to worry about random repairs, and the car lets you know when maintenance is required. The appearance isn't great, but it works like a charm.
Story
The first year that I got the car I had a lot of trips with my friends. We would go to the beach and the mall. One day I remember we went to Stinson Beach in the Bay Area, and it was just so much fun. The car was moving a lot and taking us around, and we filled up the tank one time and didn't need to fill it up before I dropped everyone off home. It was amazing.
Pros
There were many pros, including reliability! The car never left me hanging or stopped working. Also, the fuel efficiency is a major pro because I would only fill my tank up once a week. The car doesn't need oil often, and it rides like a Mercedes Benz on the freeway. I would recommend this as a good first time car, if you're paying less than $5,000.
Cons
It is not very stylish, and I absolutely hated the color. Although dark green didn't look bad initially, it started to glimmer less. The only con that I could think of, in addition to the color and style, would be that the back of the headrest the material is very light. I was smoking in my car, and I accidentally burned the back of the seat about four times. If you just barely touch it to the back of the head rest, it will burn, and that's a huge negative. I would prefer to have leather or hard headrests.
