The Element is very practical-we have large dogs and we can just wipe out the vehicle, there is no carpet, so we don't have to worry about messy messes! My husband is very tall and his head doesn't touch the top of the vehicle like in others we've owned. When I drive, I love how I sit up high-it drives nicely, but I don't feel like I'm driving a bus. So parking is a breeze. The only thing I can think of that I don't like is the fact that it's so square. But it's so handy and easy to drive and has plenty of room, so the pros definitely outweigh the cons.
Story
We were told when we first got the vehicle that we could just hose it out. We never tried, but it's nice to know.
Pros
Utilitarian, the roominess, gas mileage
Cons
Square form, maybe the grey color.

I absolutely love my Honda Element and have had minimal issues with it. My parents bought the car brand new in October 2006, and I bought it from my dad four years ago. The quality of this car is amazing. It is now over ten years old and has almost 220k miles and does not look or act like it. There is absolutely no visible rust on the body, and it still runs great. The only things that I have had to get worked on have been pretty basic and expected for any car, e.g.: suspension, brakes, and tires. I did have an O2 sensor go bad, but that is the biggest issue that this car has had in ten years and 220k miles. I love that there isn't any carpeting, and I love how the seats fold up. It is amazing to transport things in and is a breeze to clean. I can't imagine ever going back to a car wit... (more)
Story
As a music teacher, I have to move a lot of equipment. Together, my friend and I were able to easily fit a bass drum into my car with the seats folded up, something that many people told us would not work.
Pros
Versatility. Style. Design. No carpeting. Seats can fold up or come out. Amazing quality.
Cons
Low gas mileage. Doors can be difficult in parking lots or to explain to new passengers. Engine is a bit weak for the size of the car.
