I think the build quality is good and it handles well. The car looks sexy and it is fast. The engine sounds good. The RAM air hood add to the looks and to the performance of the car. The interior is nice, the seats are comfortable. The sound system is also good. The gas mileage is good, about 24 miles to the gallon.
Story
A city policeman pulled me over just to look at the vehicle. I thought I was going to get a ticket, but the policeman just wanted to look at the car.
Pros
The appearance is good, the front seats are comfortable, the sound system is good. The T-top is awesome in the summer. It gets good gas mileage with the lower octane and even better with the high octane gas.
Cons
The glue which was used reacted with the paint and bubbles. GM did not honor the repairs. To fix this the whole T-top has to be replaces. Another issue is the crack in the door panels. This also is a design flaw which GM did not honor the repairs. The back seat is cramped, there isn't much leg room between the front and back seat. It seems to use a lot of oil. The car seems to be small for a tall person. The front passenger seat is not adjustable forward or back,

People who buy this car buy it for two things only: the body and the engine. The sound of this car starting up is deep and powerful. The body is sleek and sexy, unlike other lower-end sports cars that have a boxy and heavy look. Even though this car is 12 years old, it turns heads everywhere I go. Not many are seen on the road anymore. It's made for those who want to enjoy being on the road. This car is basic inside. There's no fancy electronics. It's meant for fun, not luxury. The good thing is that the less electronics there are, the less there is to break. Don't expect heated seats or even an iPod port. It does have a hatchback with small backseats that fold down, so you can cram a lot of cargo in there if needed. The downside is that the craftsmanship is very poor. I'... (more)
Pros
Body design Lumbar support Sound of the engine Hatchback Leather seats. Sport tires
Cons
Low-tech. Only thing digital is the mileage and clock. Engine broke after about $20k miles. Cheap plastic cracks. Paint wore off in some areas, unevenly. Pontiac no longer exists.
