My quad cab model is an absolute beast of an animal, in other words it has a lot of power. I love how much cargo it can hold. This year I have been renovating our house for sale and it has carried everything I need it to. There have been no trips to the hardware store where it has failed to do what I need it to. That was one of the many pros about the Ram 1500 2016 model. One of the few cons, which I was sad to find, was the start system failed and I had to have it towed to the dealership and pay $600 to fix it... including the tow. But the good outweighs the bad. Another pro is that it can carry a lot of weight. For one part of the renovation to my house I had to haul 2,000 pounds of bricks. The truck did not slow down from the weight at all. It was like a 1/2 a inch down, but that wa... (more)
Story
None so far, sorry.
Pros
This truck is incredibly reliable. Like A LOT reliable. It was more than I expected. I was caught in a flash flood and my truck powered through the water so I could stop up ahead and help tow people.
Cons
The situation where I had to have a tow was disappointing. That was one of the three cons I have noticed about the truck. I have also noticed the truck is kind of high from the ground - it is fine for me but for my wife and kid it is kind of to high for them. The last con I have noticed about the truck is, that the passenger seat does not have a lot of leg room. It has plenty for letting someone sit there, but usually I put grocery there when I am driving alone. It can only hold like three bags, unlike my last car which could hold about seven. Though overall, I am still satisfied with the ... (more)

2016 Ram Pickup 1500 - The Ram 1500 Eco diesel is a great vehicle

I really like the Ram 1500 Eco diesel. Its fuel mileage is exceptional. It gets 23 miles a gallon city and 27 miles a gallon highway. It has a ton of power, barely press the pedal and your ready for Nascar. My Ram is a crew cab and has a six-foot bed. It has 100,000 miles on it but has had few issues and still looks good. The seats are leather, and they are holding up well to the daily wear. The floor is vinyl instead of carpet, which is great because we use it on a construction site and carpet would not last very long in that situation. It has a lot of storage space under the back seat. I was able to store and entire 6x6 office of paperwork and supplies neatly under the back seat.
Story
This could have happened with any vehicle. But I hooked it up to a trailer once (I was concerned about how it would pull it) and took off with no problem. Got a couple of seconds up the road and thought "well, this is easier than I thought", looked back to check on the trailer and the trailer wasn't there!! Turn around, went back to where I started and there sat the trailer. I hadn't hitched i... (more)
Pros
I love the fuel mileage it gets. You also can't beat the power it has. It is very roomy in the cab. My husband is six-foot tall, and he can stretch out in the front or back seat and still be comfortable. The storage under the back seat is awesome.
Cons
I bought it to pull a fifth wheel camper but didn't realize it only had a towing capability of 7,500 pounds (most fifth wheel campers are 8500+). I had to have the front wheel bearings changed at 100,000 miles. This is common with Ram/Dodge vehicles but still a con. The six-foot bed causes some issues with hauling long stuff, and of course, it holds much smaller loads than the eight-foot bed. It needs some side running boards so short people like me can get in and out easier.

2001 Ram Pickup 1500 - It has been good so far but has a couple issues.

Overall, this vehicle has been a good purchase. It is great as a work truck and moving material around, but it doesn't get the greatest gas mileage. When gas is expensive, I can really feel it. The engine seems to work great, although it is quite loud and has a couple of odd noises. The accelerates just fine and brakes good as well. The brakes are very squeaky, which is very annoying, but it doesn't seem to stop their braking power at all. The ride is comfortable, but the window opener is right in the way of my leg, which makes it a slight annoyance. Parking is a pain with a truck, but it makes up for it with the amount of construction materials it can easily haul. I wish that the car had a few more features, but it is an older model, and it is expected that things will be broken over ... (more)
Story
I used it to haul my first load for my new business in Boise, ID. I filled the back with different industrial coatings and supplies and was able to take it all the warehouse in one load.
Pros
The biggest pros are the ability to haul stuff, the power of the engine, the high height of the ride, and the ample space for goods.
Cons
The cons are gas mileage, parking, squeaking brakes, slow acceleration, wide turns, and it's hard for some people to get in or out of.
