2009 Suzuki SX4 - Reliable car, good bang for your buck

Overall, it is a quiet ride, but I still like that I can hear the car on the road when I drive it. I have driven this car for 9.5 years and have never had any major issues with it. I love the build of it--it is sleek and looks more expensive than what it cost. I like that it is a foreign car, though Suzukis are not longer sold in the United States. My family liked it so much they bought another one, but in red.

Story

I have driven this vehicle out to the Badlands of South Dakota to go backpacking!

Pros

The overall appearance is very nice. I have a black interior with a pearlescent paint color. It is far more spacious on the inside than what the outside would indicate (my 6'7" partner can fit and drive in it easily). At a time when smart phones were not really around yet, I liked that my car came with a GPS. The visibility is excellent. Having those two extra triangular windows in front really increases how much I can see on the road.

Cons

My car does not have an auxiliary port, although other cars made in 2009 had one. Because Suzukis are no longer sold in the United States, buying replacement parts is expensive. I find the car seats very difficult to clean. The thing that frustrates me the most, is the piece of plastic attached to the drivers side front bumper. This piece of plastic, whose utility I still have yet to figure out, has broken off more times than I can count, and, as such, has been lost in transit. 2009 Suzuki SX4 - Suzuki

The Suzuki SX4 Sport is a great first time car and it's disappointing that they can't be purchased new in America anymore. I purchased it used with about 77,000 miles on it, I'm up to just over 100,000 after four years of ownership (I drive a lot for my job), and it still feels like it's a newer vehicle. Although the front end is low to the ground and will take some scrapes and bumps, the primary exterior of the car holds up incredibly well. The interior is even better; the material is high quality and cleans easily. Despite not having floor mats, I've never had trouble getting my carpets exceptionally clean. One of my favorite memories of my car happened before I even purchased it. It was the first car I ever bought and the second one I test drove, and I knew before my test was even done that I wanted it. Exterior color (light sky blue), excellent brakes, good gas mileage, subwoofer installed, and six-CD changer.

Cons

Rides low on the front end and takes some time to speed up.
