Love this car, it is still going strong despite being more than 10 years old. It's not super flashy, but it has a large trunk and a large backseat, so mine was the car of choice for road trips. It gets a fairly good gas mileage, and when gas was $4 a gallon, I was going farther on $20 than people I knew with other cars. It's dependable and will get you where you need to go.
Story
I drove this car from the northern edge of Maine to the southern tip of Texas over a week-long road trip with a friend. We saw a lot of interesting things and put a lot of miles on it.
Pros
Big trunk, big backseat, comfortable, dependable, respectable gas mileage, no weird parts that mechanics don't carry. The last model to come with a full spare, which was great. It is a well-designed car, with a specific place for the spare, a tire iron and a jack in the trunk plus little compartments for drinks, sunglasses and change that pop up when you push them. It's just a good solid car.
Cons
This was one of the models that had a recall notice for the brakes, but Toyota paid for it to be fixed as long as you took the extra time and effort to bring it in. It's not the smallest car, so parking in tight spaces can be difficult. If your phone or credit card falls in the space between the seat in the door, the sloped floor forces it under the seat and it's really hard to retrieve. For some reason I got spots of rust above the grill on the front hood. Have sometimes had trouble with it not starting on a hot day, but I think that's due to the battery terminals and not the car itself.

This is a fantastic, reliable, trustworthy car. It has way more space than anybody could imagine. I would say this car has way more pros than cons and would recommend it to anybody.
Story
I had to pack up a whole film set in 5 minutes. Rain started pouring in less than a minute and we pulled it up onto grass to shove everything in. The shoot day was ruined, but it's a fun story.
Pros
To start off, the price of one of these is very low because they are a bit boring in terms of cool factor. That is a positive though, because you cannot kill this thing. Mine is currently 16 years old and has not needed any major repair. Simple upkeep keeps it going and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. The space in it is ridiculous. I moved half my life to Arizona with this pleasant hunk of metal. Beyond that, being in film school, I needed something to lug around big film equipment. I was able to load up all my needs into the trunk and the back seats. This includes li... (more)
Cons
It is very plain looking. It is a plain grey with no notable features. It boats around as you drive. The handling is mediocre at best, but the point is that it is a commuter car. The wheels that it came with are actually pretty bad as well. They are very flashy, but not in the way that one would want for their daily driver.

This car is absolutely marvelous! I love how stylish it looks. The car is nicely put together and makes me look modern. The inside is very comfortable and screams out me! It really defines who I am and I love it. The mileage is also a plus. I am saving a lot of money on gas and this is great for me. Out of all the cars I purchased in my lifetime, I am most satisfied because of how durable it is. Not only is it cute, but it is also durable. The ride is always smooth and quiet and the interior is just oh so fit and exceptional. Toyota really did a great job on this one. It is around 35 miles per gallon which really helps me save on gas. I honestly do not know why anyone would ever turn down this car. The price and what you get for it is exceptional.
Story
I used this vehicle for a long drive to California. (18 hours) It was fun and amazing and my kids loved it.
Pros
Great mileage and durability. The car has a nice sleep finish and is perfect for families to drive in. This car saves you a lot of money. I am saving an extra 5,000 dollars a year on gas just because of this car. Looks much better than the Prius and works better than most cars. Nice and quiet so you don't have to wake up the baby. The car is absolutely beautiful and does not let you down. I was running on one bar of gas but I was able to drive 15 miles before it completely ran out. So it is very reliable and efficient. Not only does it hold up but it is also very chic and stylish. This car... (more)
Cons
There are honestly no negative things about this vehicle. The only drawback is that it is not kid friendly. The door handles and safety handles are very easy to reach for toddlers in booster seats so I am very concerned about that. They should have put the door handles somewhere so that kid are not able to access them. I am always in a constant battle with my little ones and it's absolutely terrifying to think they will be able to open the door anytime in the car ride. Toyota needs to improve on this feature because it is very hazardous and would be potentially devastating if something lik... (more)
