2011 Toyota Yaris - Its inexpensive and fun to drive. It can fit in any parking spot too.

The Yaris is a great car to have in the city. Because it is compact you can really get around a lot of the problems some larger cars have. The way you can park a Yaris is one of its best features if you live in a big city. When there are seemingly no more parking spaces for anyone else the Yaris is small and compact enough to park in those very small space you see in between cars. The Yaris is also great for gas mileage. It gets about 35 miles to the gallon which is fantastic. And its very light so it actually sometimes gets more. The look of the car is cuter than sporty, but I would actually argue that it has a more appealing design than many of the larger cars on the road. And it looks less generic too. My Yaris is a very sporty red with a hatchback, and I take it everywhere. It is a... (more)
Story
I drove to Philadelphia in this car and it was fun, and when you're on the expressway its easy to zoom around truck and other cars.
Pros
The color Its parking ability (size) gas mileage is 37 inexpensive has a lot of interior space drives well in snow
Cons
Easy to break into probably not the safest car in an accident terrible stereo system slow acceleration

2007 Toyota Yaris - The Yaris is too small but great on gas.

The Toyota Yaris is very good on gas. It doesn't take much to fill up the tank, and a full tank goes a long way. I have had the car for four years and the maintenance cost has been very low. I did not like the size of the car. It was very uncomfortable on long trips. Passengers are elbow to elbow, and if you are taller than 5'10" this isn't the car for you. The look of the car was O.K., But it sort of looked like a roller skate, or an egg. It looks better in black. The acceleration was fine for a car that size, and it handled well. I did not feel very safe, mostly due to the size, but also in part due to the cheap quality of the doors and hood. There's also the downside of having to go to a Toyota dealer to replace the rear windshield wiper. I haven't found an auto parts store or oil c... (more)
Story
My friends joke about calling my vehicle a dinosaur egg due to it looking like a very large, grey egg. Whenever any of them are in the car with me and we pass by a large truck, like a Hummer, they joke about my car evolving into that one day like a Pokemon.
Pros
The most positive thing about the Yaris is the gas mileage. It was very efficient and I didn't have to worry about the price at the pump as much. The sound system was also pretty good and didn't rattle the vehicle.
Cons
The size makes it very uncomfortable for long rides. The speedometer is in the middle of the dash, making it so the driver has to look towards the middle of the windshield to check the speed.

I have been driving a 2010 Toyota Yaris 4 Door Sedan for the past 3 years and I have really come to love the dependability of this unique car. It has about 130,000 miles and it still runs great, no rattles, no vibrations. It runs just as well as when I first bought it. It is also a rather cheap car, with the stock manufacturing price being only around $17,000 it is a great bang for your buck. Especially on long road trips, this vehicle on the interstate can surpass well over 40 miles per gallon. If you want a car that will last well over 300,000 miles on the engine, you can count on this vehicle. It has all the basic bells and whistles expected in modern vehicles, including full automatic windows, cruise-control and a great sound system.
Story
A fun memorable moment was when I drove 5000 miles to and from Vermont to get married with my wife and three small dogs in the car.
Pros
Some aspects of this vehicle that are particularly positive include the long engine life and dependability over the long term. This vehicle is highly dependable as long as you engage in regular vehicle maintenance. Overall a great car for the price.
Cons
One thing in particular about this vehicle that isn't necessarily a con, but more of an attribute you know of the car before you buy it. It is rather small for a four door. For example, the maximum weight limits of the car is about 600 pounds. So if you have four people, 200 pounds each, the car will definitely show performance issues and will bottom out in some places.
