2009 Toyota Yaris OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Marion, Ohio
The Yaris is Mighty Mouse.
This has been one of the best cars I could have every imagined owning. I have a family of three children, and we have gone from point A to point B in this car with very little difficulty. I love that it is small, but it is deceptively so. It has more room than one would imagine for being such a compact car. The hatchback and fold down seats allow for extra room if you're needing to haul things, and the car comes with a lot of little extra features such as three glove compartments and ample drink holders. Parking the car is a dream. It fits absolutely everywhere and even places it probably shouldn't. It's a smoother drive than any car I've driven, and it actually has decent pickup for having such a small engine. The best thing about the car is that it is great on gas and repairs have been minor. What repairs I've had to have done it on have been minimal in cost. Although it's not accommodating for my family forever because, let's face it, kids get to be teenagers and take up more room, it has proven to be a great hand me down choice for my daughter to drive. Hopefully the car will get her through college, and knowing Toyota, it is very possible that the car will go beyond college as long as it remains in good working order.

One of the best small cars I have ever owned.
This car has been one of the best little cars I have owned. It paid for itself years ago thanks to the amazing gas mileage. It is also very comfortable to ride in due to the room available in the car. The little care is well built and will run for miles on in. I would suggest this car for someone who does a lot of traveling and loves to drive. The inside interior is very nice and it comes with some great features.

Great gas mileage, but it comes with a few problems.
My Toyota Yaris is a 3 door hatchback in blue color. It is a stick shift and the interior is dark and the seats are cloth. It came with a CD player/FM radio and USB port. Other than that, it is a pretty basic car without barely any bells and whistles, but it is very reliable car, which I like. I love that it has fantastic gas mileage. That is my favorite thing. I also like that it's small enough that I can get around easily and I love that I can whip my car in and out of traffic with ease. The same goes with parking; it's very easy. The only two times it has broken down is when the alternator went out and another time when the transmission and brakes needed replacing. Considering the fact that I have had this car for 9 years, I would say that's pretty impressive for such a budget vehicle. That doesn't mean it doesn't come without smaller problems though. I have had issues with the air conditioner, which can be quite a nuisance living in Florida. The A/C is tied to the clutch and I have already had to replace the clutch one time, which fixed it completely. Unfortunately, 3 years later, it is starting to give me problems again. This, I do not like. Another thing I do not like about the car is the noise; when I drive it, it's very noisy with a lot of vibrations. There have been several safety recalls in the past few years, which has been pretty annoying. For the most part though, I have been mostly satisfied with this car, considering I only had to pay around $11,000 for it at the time. Would I want to purchase another one? Probably not. Would I recommend it to someone with a low budget in need of a reliable car? Yes, definitely!
