Before owning this 2012, 4-door Toyota Yaris, I owned a 2008 2-door Yaris. I have very little complaints regarding either one. I currently have 45,000 miles on my 2012 and have not had any complications with the engine, noises, A/C... nothing. The interior of the car would be the only thing to complain about. The seats are fabric and light grey, which show spots or stains readily and easily. Accessibility into the car is simple, with an electronic key with alarm capabilities. Before becoming a Toyota owner I had a 1998 Jeep Cherokee, and while the interior was nice in comparison to my Yaris it doesn't come close in comparing to the amount of money I save on upkeep and gas expenses. I have driven my Yaris across country two times and was pretty happy with the experience. The back... (more)
Story
I live close to the beach and it's really nice to have such a small car because I can get in and out of small spaces very easily! And fit into spaces that most cars can't.
Pros
AUX capabilities, GREAT fuel economy. One of my favorite features of this vehicle is the ability to put all three of the back seats flat... or only one of them if I want. This allows for more space if I need to transport larger objects. Surprisingly, my little car can carry more and also weird shaped objects better than normal sedans.
Cons
The interior seats. They need to make all of the seats dark fabric or upgrade to leather. The windshield wiper. Yes, I said wiper, singular. There is one large wiper connected to the front windshield and it seems to always make my car dirtier than before I started. It blurs the visibility sometimes and it seems like it is made of poor quality materials.

I love this car. It is perfect for a big city. It works well, never has given me a problem, and it is really easy to find parking. Having a dependable car is really important for me, since I am not one of those people who know how to fix anything in a car. In all the time that I've had it, I had never needed to take it to the mechanic for anything but the normal maintenance (oil change and the like).
Story
The most memorable is when I had a friend visit me, and I was showing him around. We went to Santa Monica and parked in one of the public parkings (90 minutes free). When we went back there, the car wasn't in the floor where it was supposed to be. Luckily, we realized that it wasn't the public parking where we had left the car and we ended up going to two different parkings until we found it (... (more)
Pros
Living in a big city where it is really difficult to find a place to park, the size of the car really facilitates this task. This car is the perfect size for people who live alone or for couples without children: you have all the space you need, but the car is not too big, so parking is easier. Also, it is really easy to drive, and it has all the equipment that I really need. The air conditioning works great.
Cons
The size of the trunk may be a little bit too small when you go to pick up several people from the airport. Also, the few times when the car has been full with occupants, some say that it feels a little bit overcrowded. But it really doesn't bother me most of the time.
