My truck came with the bigger engine, so I was able to haul equipment, tools, and a trailer. Having air conditioning in Florida was a must, and this truck blasted cold air. The truck came with a manufacturer topper, so things in the bed did not get wet or exposed to the elements. It had an extended cab so five people fit in it comfortably. The suspension was good for heavy loads, but was smooth riding on trips like vacations. The heat and defroster turned out to work great in the winter as apposed to the air conditioning in Florida. The automatic transmission made it enjoyable to drive, and worked fine in the mountains. Using the lower gears made coming down a mountain easy.
Story
Getting stuck on top of a mountain in a rut. Had to dig out the truck in order to get it going again. This was an example of not having four wheel drive.
Pros
Factory bed topper. Air conditioning. Bigger engine which I needed for work.
Cons
It was not four wheel drive. I would have liked to have a CD player instead of a cassette player/radio only. The tires on it were good, but would have preferred all terrain tires for better traction in sand.

Toyota is known for dependable vehicles, and the T-100 pickup is no exception. They are solid as a brick, extremely long lasting, with mine approaching 300,000 miles, and get decent gas mileage. T-100 not particularly flashy or stylish, but overtime, that has worked in its favor, as it does not look dated at all.
Story
My brother owned this vehicle before me. One hot summer, the A/C on both of his newer vehicles was broken. I told him "the A/C is still ice cold in the T-100." I think he possibly wished he had kept it!
Pros
Dependable, good power to cruise on the highway or haul a load around. Fairly roomy and comfortable. They hold their value well. All of the controls are simple, handy, and easy to navigate. The extended cab offers an ample amount of storage space for cargo. It seems solid and safe on highway, with no quirks in the handling with predictable performance. There are no blind spots when driving or really any negative issues.
Cons
The only problem I had with T-100 was when I purchased it, the door handles had been damaged and faulty repair work done to repair them. I purchased new replacement handles and had them professionally installed. Since then, I have not had any issues, although I have learned this is a common complaint.

This truck is the ultimate road warrior truck. It is practically bulletproof, as it's known that these trucks can go to 300,000 miles with no problems, as they are built so solidly.
Story
I usually use this truck as my weekend getaway vehicle, as I know it will get me where I want to go, which is usually the lake or somewhere in the woods. It's a sleek black color and very simple design but very effective as the trucks are so solidly built.
Pros
I've owned this truck little less than three months now, and it's been extremely solid so far. It's a simple design with a good clutch feeling as the five speed never feels hindered or slow. Shifting is a breeze and not cumbersome like other vehicles I have driven in the past.
Cons
The gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired, but then again, you get what you pay for. With a 3.4 V6 supercharged motor, you should know, you won't be getting great gas mileage.
