The car itself is good, but the service is terrible from Toyota. They really don't care about it and the people to own one. They just made them so that they can continue selling cars in California. The car is great for electric range and for being affordable. Also, it is the only EV that is a SUV out. Other than that, the car feels generic.
Story
Going on a trip from California to Utah.
Pros
The EV range. Being a SUV which has lots of space.
Cons
Toyota being not caring about the car or the people who own one.

The Rav-4 XLE 2006 is an exceptional car in looks, comfort, safety and reliability. There are many features which I appreciate about this car. The interior is comfortable and attractive with its leather seating and heated front seats. The seats are easy to position with electronic controls and there is lumbar support which is a plus to me. The dashboard is well designed, easy to read and the radio is of good quality with great sound throughout the car. The cargo space is good for traveling and can easily accommodate my two Labrador retrievers. I like that the rear seats fold forward so that bigger objects can be accommodated. As an SUV, the passenger area sits higher than your average car and so there is good visibility. There have been few repairs required other than normal maintena... (more)

This trip has been driven to Ikea twice when we were seeking furniture. The first time we purchased a sofa and despite the family optimism and the fact that the sofa came in boxes, we were disappointed to find that it could not fit in the car. On our second trip, we purchased a bed and mattress and pessimistically considered having Ikea deliver the products. We decided however to try packing t... (more)
Pros
I purchased this car when I was seeking a safe and reliable car for transporting my children to a school which was a good distance from our home. This drive had to be made in bad weather ( snowstorms ) for a 20 mile commute which included highway driving. I found the AWD feature with 4WD option was perfect for all the weather conditions I encountered. I also appreciated the V-6 engine entering highway traffic. The safety rating provided me with a secure feeling that if anything were to happen my passengers and I would be well protected.
Cons
Back seat could be a little more comfortable.

Overall I have been very satisfied with my RAV 4. It is quite a bit better than my previous car which was a Mazda Tribute. It has the storage space that I need without being very wide or cumbersome to drive like larger SUVs. It is comfortable for a 6'3'' driver while not being overly large inside. The leather interior is good quality and all of the electronics are still functional after 5 years of use. It also still has a pretty good resale value after 6 years and 100,000 miles which is useful if I want to get a newer car. I would definitely look into another RAV4 when looking for a new car.
Story
I like to use to go fishing. It stores all of my gear quite well including fairly long fishing rods and large coolers.
Pros
It is very reliable car that has not given me any trouble. I have only had to perform oil changes and replace break pads as maintenance. I have not had to perform any other repairs. The car also handle and accelerates well for its size. It still feels like a relatively new car after 100,000 plus miles.
Cons
Gas efficiency is a little lower than more recent small SUVs. Interior plastic and switching seems a bit cheap and generic. Exterior looks are very average looking and not particularly attractive. Back-up camera is not all that good so I really do not even use it.
