I really love my Toyota Prius. Even though I bought it used and with around 60,000 miles, it has performed extremely well. First, it is very comfortable and spacious inside. It's hatchback design and fold-down back seats allow me to fit so much material inside. I can carry about twenty 2L bags of mulch inside. I like to do my own maintenance on the car, and changing the engine oil and oil filter, air filter, and other components is very easy. The engine runs really well, and the car still gets 55-60 miles per gallon. It is so wonderful to spend almost half at the pump of what I used to pay for gas with my previous car. My Prius also has a great stereo system and sound, and I love the Bluetooth features. I absolutely love my Prius!
Story
Went to Home Depot and thought that my Prius would only be able to fit ten bags of mulch. Paid for the mulch at the counter, had it loaded, and found out that I had so much room left! I went back to the counter, paid for another eight bags, and after loading, I still had room! I had to go to pay for mulch three separate times because I did not realize how much could fit into the Prius!
Pros
Very fuel efficient between 55 - 60 MPG. Very spacious interior. Easy maintenance and care. Replacement components are cheap and easy to replace. Very reliable performance even with high mileage.
Cons
There is a very annoying back up sound when the Prius is put in reverse, but this feature is quite useless because it only sounds inside the car, not outside (like with a truck).

Have 45,000 miles on my Prius and it is running great. If I drive the car with economy in mind, I have gotten 50-58 mpg. This is why I bought the car. I did average 59 mile per gallon on a trip of about 300 miles. My dog totally loves the car. He totally knows when it is arriving, often before it is visible.
Story
Listened to music/radio all day while at air show. Engine only turned on a few times.
Pros
It gets great gas mileage. It has great acceleration—even with the short hesitation. I fill up about once a month. I have put on about 45,000 miles and no issues. I get great service at dealership. It will run in EV mode even though it will not go far. It is very quiet.
Cons
There is some hesitation when accelerating quickly. The speedometer in very difficult to read in daylight. It is very quiet. Animals and people can not hear it approaching.

No hassle. Felt they were honest. Did not pressure me to buy the car. Very helpful - Mom had issue with her car and they fixed her flat tire. Did not take any payment for fixing tire.
