2006 Buick Lucerne - Enjoy the little luxuries, dislike the mpg

My husband and I bought this car used for our second vehicle shortly after our child was born. It fit our car seat nicely and we were captivated by the little luxuries: heated seats; separate temperature controls for driver and front passenger; air vents for the backseat in the front seat partition (which has been great since our kid is now forward-facing). One thing I particularly enjoyed was the ability to record two driver seat settings (mirror and wheel placement, how far forward the seat is, where the seat back is, where the lumbar support is, etc.), So we don't need to fiddle with everything every time we switch drivers. The seats are comfortable and I really appreciate the digital warnings, which are more than just little lights but full phrases (i.e. ENGINE OIL LOW). However, t... (more)
Story
Going to a drive-in A&W and enjoying our food in our comfortable car, listening to a podcast through the car radio in our first car with an AUX input.
Pros
- System messages as phrases rather than just lights - Ability to record two driver seating arrangements - Air vents for the backseat - Roomy trunk - Handling 100,000+ miles very well
Cons
- Consumes more Gas than I like - Button to open the Trunk is hidden in the glove box - Seems to be lower-than-average clearance

2006 Buick Lucerne - Very comfortable, but hard to see out the back, when driving in reverse.

The Buick Lucerne is the first Lucerne I have ever owned. The car has a Cadillac frame, and is very comfortable to ride in. It has a nice looking style to it, and I like the little scoops on each side of the car. It is a nice looking automobile.
Story
Taking my wife for a nice ride in the country. The car is a very comfortable car, and she loves it.
Pros
Automatic headlight turn on, and also turn off. Electronically operated adjustable seats, and adjustable steering wheel. Access to the trunk, from the back seat. The back seat has a pull down arm rest, and double cup holders. You can actually pull down a flap, and have access to the trunk, from the back seat. Nice feature. It has security windows, and door locks, that can be activated by the driver. Automatic down windows, on the drivers side, is a good feature. Just hit the down button, and the window goes down, without holding down the button. The car looks very nice. It has a Cadillac f... (more)
Cons
When you have to quickly turn to the left or right, it seems to have a little too much sway. I had to replace the transmission, @ just over 100,000. The 3.8 Engine in this car never seems to quit. I have had several Buicks with this engine, and have never had one go on me.
