We more than love this car. Thirty two years of driving trucks has made us used to rough rides and less-than-luxurious appointments. This car has a long wheelbase and so it rides like a cloud. You just seem to float along the highway. The look is fantastic. This one is midnight blue with gorgeous body lines. Chrome detail sets the look off just right. Seats are adjustable and very comfortable. Both of us are tall (5'9" and 6'3") and need lots of leg room. Even traveling 600 miles to the mountains is not tiring because the ride is so good and the legroom more than enough.
Story
I ama caregiver for the elderly. One client lives in a condo community that was replacing their old large wood shutters for newer lighter plastic ones. I wanted some of the old shutters for some of my reclaimed wood projects. I actually was able to load 18 5 1/5 foot shutters into my trunk and bring them 18 miles home with no problem. The men at the condo still laugh at me about that one.
Pros
Best thing about the car for me is the quiet ride. Of course, I got out of a Super Duty diesel truck to get into this one. But even after 2 years I still notice and enjoy how quiet it is. The stereo is great. Sound is pro quality and soothing. The trunk is huge. I am a thrift shopper and always have plenty of room to bring my tattered treasures home.
Cons
If I had to say I don't like something about it I would just note that it is long and sometimes the nose seems too far out, making me nervous to park in some places.

The Lucerne is a great comfort car. The features like heated seats, heated steering wheel and plush interior make it a comfortable ride. The biggest problem is the sides of the windshield creates blind spots when looking both ways at a turns. The car doesn't use too much gas for how often I drive it and it is the most comfortable car I have ever ridden in.
Story
Once I was bringing my dog home from the vet and she was really excited to be in the car. She kept jumping up from the ground to the passenger seat and back. Eventually she got so tired that she curled up in the front seat with her nose over the cup holders just barely touching my leg as I drove her home.
Pros
The best features in the car are on the inside. The interior is plush and makes for a very comfortable ride. The heated seats and wheel make winter no big deal. The great A/C keeps it cool in the summer so the car is always a pleasure to ride in. The remote starter even lets the car heat up before you even step out of the house.
Cons
The biggest problem with the car is the bars next to the windshield. They create large blind spots exactly where you need to look when pulling out onto a road. Several times I have almost pulled out after looking both ways just before noticing a car where I would have been had I pulled out. The only other problem I have with the car is the large size. The front is a little longer than expected and I always feel like I'm just about to hit something when parking.
