I was first attracted to the Cadillac CTS because of Cadillac's remake of the body styles giving their car sharp lines and a sexy front grill. However, the one thing this car taught me time and time again was to not buy for the exterior looks of the car. The cost of parts alone made this car the biggest financial regret of my life, especially in comparison to the diminishing value of the car.
Story
I took the vehicle up to the LU sign at Liberty University, it did great on the mountain and gravel roads.
Pros
The exterior body style was flashy and I received many compliments from friends, family and strangers. I liked the triple black scheme, and the gas mileage was great. It also had a lot of get up and go.
Cons
THE COST OF PARTS AND MAINTENANCE. Owning this year and probably newer Cadillacs, if something goes wrong many shops will tell you that you have to take it to the dealership because there's some special computer they have to hook the car up to. The third tail light - if it goes out, you cannot simply replace the bulb, its made in all one piece! So you have to buy a brand new own which cost me $350 used, $600 if I were to buy it new. And I only paid $6,000 for the car. I also had to get all new brakes, rotors, etc, and it was over $600. If I had known that the CTS is just the Cadillac ... (more)

I have owned over a dozen Cadillacs in the last 20 years and have always loved them. I purchased this Cadillac as a one year old pre-owned vehicle. It had been used by a dealership as a salesman's demo. When I test drove the car I did not detect several negatives that showed up after the purchase. First, the car started to smell like stale smoke and I had to take it back to the dealership to have it de-smoked. Next, it had a distinctive shimmy when idling at an intersection, red light, etc. Taking it to the dealership again, I was told that was normal and they could not fix it. In the first six months of owning the car, it had seven factory recalls and each time I had to schedule an appointment to have it fixed. The vehicle simply did not perform to the standards of a Cadillac in my op... (more)
Story
There are absolutely none, I disliked the car.
Pros
I honestly did not have any favorite features other than the fact that it got fairly good gas mileage and was comfortable to sit in, in the front seats only.
Cons
As listed, it shimmied when idling. There were excessive factory recalls for various things. I disliked that all dashboard controls were digital and if you happened to hit something by mistake, it changed the controls.

I really like this car. I got it for what I thought was a pretty good deal. It has leather interior and wood paneling so I feel like it is pretty luxurious on the inside. The leather seats make it so it is easy to clean and I love the smell of leather. Someone had the stereo system upgraded so the sound in there is amazing and I have a CD player and USB port to play all my music. Love that! The body style of the car is really nice and elegant, too. I think it is very eye catching without being super flashy. I don't think you really need to do much to a Cadillac because, well, it is a Cadillac. It is a pretty quiet car, too. I am not all that familiar with all the stuff under the hood, but I can barely tell that it is on sometimes and that is awesome. There is no muffler noise or anythi... (more)
Story
My friends in I get dressed up in all Ohio State gear, decorated this vehicle and went tailgating on the OSU campus. It was fantastic, GO BUCKS!
Pros
I really like how stylish this vehicle is and that it runs great for being 11 years old.
Cons
It may just be that the tires need to be replaced, but the ride is not as smooth as I think it should be.
