My vehicle is a Cadillac Deville and is a 2008. It is Beige and a nice ride. It gets about 20 miles to the gallon which does not make it so great on fuel efficiency. However, if you want a spacious place for the kids then the Deville is yours. The only trouble I have had is that the air conditioner has went out and it's going to cost a lot to fix it. Cadillac's cost a lot to fix because they are luxury vehicles. It runs and drives great. I love my Cadillac!
Story
This vehicle has had an air conditioning problem since we got it. I went to fix it recently and it was only going to cost 87 dollars. However it went out a week later and now it costs 625. So remember, if you have a lot of money to spend on a vehicle. Choose this one.
Pros
I Love that it runs and drives great! It is spacious for the kids! It is leathered out for comfort. It is a luxury vehicle.
Cons
The cons are that it is very high on parts and the cost to fix it is expensive. It doesn't get great fuel efficiency. Only 19-20 miles to the gallon. It's electrical issues is what I've heard will have problems in the future.

The Cadillac Deville is an excellent car. It rides very smooth and the engine is quiet. It feels like a luxury car. When I ride over a bump, I barely feel the bump. I love the leather seats and Bose Sound system. Some cars don't have an Aux port and this car does. In the winter, the car heats up quickly. But I don't like that it uses a lot of gas. A full tank lasts me about 3 days, especially when I have to run the air condition. But overall, a great quality car. The performance of the car ranks amongst the best I have ever seen. It picks up speed fast going from 0 to 60 very quickly. I love my suspension and the air shocks.
Story
None.
Pros
This car's best attributes are probably the ride and handling. Only the most severe road defects upset the smooth as glass ride and it handles surprisingly well for such a big car. The steering is super light, like the wheel isn't connected to anything. I personally love making one finger U-turns. The brakes aren't so great, don't go that fast and make sure to leave plenty of stopping distance. It's exterior styling is a strong point too. I think these are among the best looking Cadillacs. The interior is, as you would expect, very comfortable. My friend's actually fight over who gets to s... (more)
Cons
Repairs are expensive even though car is 15+ years old. Heater core needed replacing a few times at $300 a pop. Replaced the water pump about 4 times in the past year at $150 for the labor, luckily I had a lifetime warranty. Also had to replace the radiator. Engine is tough to work on due to limited space, I personally do not like uni-body FWD cars, but that really isn't the cars fault. The standard dash trim for the DeVille was fake plastic which I replaced with real wood trim from a Fleetwood (after I customized it) lack of any performance parts for the engine at all. Active suspension i... (more)

Seating comfort and climate comfort couldn't be better. They're broad, supportive and very adjustable and the heat/ac work like a dream The tunes are ok but not great. There seems to be a philosophy of fewer buttons is better so the music isn't very customizable. Dynamic range could be much better. Drums lack impact, bass lacks depth and highs lack brilliance. It sounds "beautifully smooth" and more suited for low volume classical or jazz. Turning it up is not a good idea. The ride is solid and steady rather than floaty which is great but don't expect to take any corners in a hurry. It rapidly gets wild when pushed. It handles like a greased pig near the limits and in emergencies. Highway cruising will yield up to 30 MPG at the speed limit. Around town is little more than half that ... (more)
Story
Did a weekend beach trip with friends. Was an eight hour drive each way. We were all as fresh and ready to play when we got there as when we'd loaded up 8 hours before. Had a great time that weekend so by the time we loaded up to come home the last day we were all about exhausted. The best part of the trip was the drive back. The car was so comfortable, such a cocoon that we all felt fresher w... (more)
Pros
Not likely to find a more comfortable car to sit in and drive. The seats are broad, supportive and very adjustable. The seat heaters respond quickly. The AC is definitely cold and requires nothing more than a temp set to do it's job. Even back seat passengers are comfy on the hottest/coldest days. It features a manual recirculate for those times when a smelly truck passes you and manual compressor on/off which you normally get on only small cars. There is plenty and I do mean plenty of power on tap if you happen to need it and the engine is almost as smooth and quiet as an electric.
Cons
No seat heating for thigh or upper back. Fit and finish seems cheap and the neutral colors offer more boredom than style. For a car that cost nearly 50K the interior especially could have been built with more attention to aesthetics, quality and detail. All the luxury seems to be in the climate control, seats and the ride. Other than that, there was nothing you couldn't find in a car for half the money. My cousin's $22K Altima feels more solid than this Cadillac. The depreciation is a nightmare. By the time it had hit 50K (less than half its presumed life cycle) the car had lost 90% of ... (more)
